Sprint Samsung Instinct Hands On

check out this vid guys. the phone is pretty clean looking in this demo. but i still love my mogul and touch. guess i wont know if i want this until more is released down the road and if i can get it on any plan not just that one simply everything plan. but i read that if you get this phone on the simply everything plan you get the $99 package for the price of the $70. same package just $20 price difference all if you get the phone. not sure how true this is. im still upset that sprint would take of the 5mp for a 2mp. im sure sprint would sell alot more if they left the 5mp and opened it up to all plans. i also read that Sprint is going to spend like $100 million to like advertise this phone. suppose to come out around june 2nd i believe.

This phone aestitically looks sick, but from what I have been hearing, this phone will not have windows mobile software, and it will not have wifi... Methinks they are releasing a pda phone that is easy to use, so that everyone can have one, but losing some usability in that respect. I have never really been a fan of Samsung in the past, but this phone does have potential.

I would consider getting this device if it was running windows. I dont like the way that everytime you want to type it goes into landscape mode. That blows! In the end if there are more apps to customize the phone like we can with HTC windows based, then maybe I would consider getting it. As of right now, I have the same feelings I have towards the iPhone. Its nothing but an "eye candy"!

LMAO...yea we would all take if they sent them to us for free. Dash i could see you getting this sent to you for free to try out so dont you worry bout that, LOL!! And if and when you do get it I am sure you will let us know what are the + and - of the device with comparison to the Mogul!

Ok, after seeing the video I feel a lot better about the HTCs still. I don't think I can picture having a phone withought UL now. This doesn't even run Windows Mobile like you guys said.

I think this might be out of the box a bit better (More user Friendly) than my Touch, but I don't see 3rd party programmers lining up to create apps for this like they do for Windows Mobile.

I think this is Sprint's Brainchild that will be short lived unless they improve the GUI or 3rd party programmers get to work right now. It looks like it can probably do a lot (maybe), but it does it ugly if you ask me.

I wonder why Sprint is spending SOOO much to market this and you heard nothing about the touch or Mogul. I'd assume that PROFIT MARGIN has a lot to do with it. That being said, its probably a Samsung POS.

Yea i agree. They seem to be marketing the Instinct alot becasue they wanna make apple look like a bunch of panzeyz if you ask me. They know that the Instinct has a lot more potential then the iPhone and are trying to knock apple out of the loop. This is going to be a challenge as the iPhone has hit sooooo many people already. Example: I went to the Apple store to buy some ipods, (work with electronics), first thing i noticed the store was PACKED!!! Secondly, in the 25-30min I was there i must have saw atleast 25 iPhones being sold. Some even buy 3 to 5 at a time. iphone has really taken over some people, but not me! So back to what I was saying, it will be hard for Samsung and Sprint to Market the Instinct to where they are gonna make Iphone users wanna think twice about switching!

I hadn't seen it until now, but had read it... I kind of feel that its a bit gimmicky. What if you're browsing while you're laying down? Maybe it has something built in to correct for that, but who knows. Not a major selling point in my mind in any event....
