Kaos i noticed one other person had this problem. If you have an activesync icon on one of your tabs i think thats what was doing it. meaning when i slide to my tab it was acting like i was opening the activesync program then freezing my phone. I removed the activesync icon from the tab that it was one and so far dont have this issue anymore will let yo know if it returns thanks bro

Ive had it this way for about 24 hrs and no reported issues yet, like i said for someone reason when you swiped your finger it recognized it as a push after it turned the page so now that the icon is gone no program to open. So for me this has worked hope it helped the other member, and on a quick note congrats on becoming a staff memeber well deserved

I updated to this rom earlier today, and it works well, except that I can not connect to data. When I launch PIE, any site I go to comes up "this page cannot be found. Check the name and try again." It shows the EV icon at the top, and i get plenty of signal, and I can make calls. I have tried several sites, such as google, my calltones favorite, yahoo, and several others...

yes this has been discussed in this thread!! you will need to run the IOTA.Cab file in the extended Rom Folder. Use File explorer, run it, install it then soft rest... PLEASE READ...thanks again

if you didn't have to run it...you probably let sprint customization run...which means your not getting the true efficiency of the rom......

nah bro i soft reset both times before they ran. i read this thread about 3 times before i made decision to run this rom and posted a quick double check how to ( posts 170-178 with responses by you and brol1k.) one thing i do is read before i ask. maybe i was just lucky?

maybe so...lol i had to run it...so far put on about 6 moguls and had to run iota on all....you got lucky...cool...

yeah its coolbut still having battery issues lik you and i discussed before it has gotten little better but not much. my battery will be at 100% on charger when i take it off in about 30 seconds it says 97%. but at least now its not going through 50% in five hours of none use. ill keep an eye on it and see if i can give you better specifics for help with the new rom, as always thanks to all you admins for the help

don't leave your screen on...Shut it off by the power button...a quick tap will do..i have tested device it wakes up when call comes in and relights screen...thats how i do it..my battery last around 16hrs this way...btw I've been on my newer build now for around 3 days...I'll be releasing by mid week. just a couple things i wanna tweak first...

on the alltel matter of this, do you have to use the tools as metioned above or can you just download and use? i have never flashed and would like to take the next step but not a step into alltel asking to replace the fried phone. thnx in advance!

you still have to unlock the phone to be bale to flash. and than once you use the titan hardspl and unlock the bootloader you will be able to flash.

1. unlock using titan hardspl
2. flash stock sprint rom version 3.35
3. flash to this rom
4, DONE.|

alright i know we are approaching the point of a dead horse but still need suggestions on this battery thing. I see where you say yours lasted 16 hrs on a single charge. ok here is what i have set. screen briteness one notch below half. screen turnoff after 30sec of none use. but 75% of time i turn off myself. data off, bluetooth off beam off. i do have active sync set but for every 30min. with it set like this i unplugged at 1108am at 100% at 1110 it was at 97% like i previously have mentioned. made a 4 hr trip when i got to my destination and checked my phone around 315 i was at 62% and only received one 10 min call the whole trip. my phone is 2 months old so i wouldnt think its the battery or is it please help before the horse dies from kicking it yet again lol

ok I dont know whats going on, were you having this problem with the stock rom? If not and wm6.1 isnt a big deal and if the battery is your biggest concern then switch back to the stock rom....do you have overclock on

nope no overclock. understand what it does not sure i needed it ya know. i did not have battery issues with 5059 thats why i thought maybe i missed something with this rom. One of the benefits with this rom (kaos') i didnt have to load all the extra apps that came predone with his rom. Well if there isnt a setting ive missed than i might flash back to 5059 til he drops his next one and give it a try not a huge deal just trying to get a handle on it ya know thanks bro for the help and quick answer though

did u read thru the thread, it says take battery out then hard reset....to back up numbers there are numerous apps just search for them, I use nscontacts backup....if u need apps post in the request thread pls, last warning.

i am using this rom and i have tried to customize my icons and clock through the htc home customizer, i can select what i want to change to but when i press save and go back to homescreen nothing happens. anyone with any suggestions? have tried several time and same thing, even tried resetting a few times after i make my changes.

ok you using ultimaste launch if so this has been discussed in this thread and the UL thread. all you do is unclick UL from start/settings/personal/today/second tab on bottom/ and uncheck ul. than check the home plugin. than after you change switch back and you will be golden .

On my htc home, under the sounds tab, when i click on ringtone, it brings up settings (Locations settings, roaming, tty mode, internet) Any of you guys have the same problem, and any ideas for how to resolve this? oh and in quick meny, when i click close program/task manager, it brings up memory settings...

When you click on the ringtone name thats whats supposed to happen, I havent heard of anything else happening, what did you think was gona happen???

thought it was supposed to bring up sounds/notifications menu, so you can change your ringtone. That is what happened with the stock rom. Its the wrong settings menu.

yea when u hit the ringtone name, it bring you the phone tab where you can change the ringtone, the page has the voicemail number on top, then it says sounds,ring type,ring tone and there are 2 other tabs that say services,and more.

it brings up the wrong menu, it brings up the menu if you would go to start/settings/personal/phone, but it will only show the services/more tab, and will even show the phone tab... wierd... when I go through the start menu (if i don't have it open from the htc home tab) it will show all 3 tabs...

all you have to do to change the ringtone is go to start/settings/personal/ sounds an notifications.

1. the rom will give you better speeds in the navigation of the phone and a more stable experience on top of threaded text messages. the ram is much more stable and wont leak nearly as much as the stock. this will also give you rev a internet speeds and enable the built in gps so you can use google maps ir your favorite turn by turn navigation program.

first off the cab to add smart dialing is in the first post for the rom....Secondly i updated my rom version....look under stick section in supported roms.... its called kaos's **** sprint build 420 take 2

I will totally donate to this cause, because the results are fantastic, but i spent all day yesterday dealing with having no internet, and then no phone....it was a mess, yes i finally found the post on installing the iota.cab manually and everythings working now..

BUT....

I'm not a noob with technology (i suppose with phones, compared to the rest of these people, i am) but...

I think it would be vastly beneficial to write a slightly more indepth install guide, including all the things people have covered in the 20+ pages on this thread.

For instance.... just a few things i've noticed along the way. Hard reset, then pull battery out? or vice vs. Whats with the battery icon? Battery draining too fast? No internet? Reset before sprint automatic customizations are installed. Etc. etc.

Either that or just mandate that everyone read all the posts so far before attempting a flash :D

ok first of all we DO encourage people to read the thread and posts before asking questions, if you look in my sig, it has a link to a detailed explanation on how to flash roms. and if you READ the 1st post it tell you in big red bold letters to pull you battery out. and if you dont have internet search it here and you will find many thread on how to get it depending on your problem. and in this rom you dont have to worry about sprint customizations b/c kaos took them off so this rom is safe for,verizon, and alltel users with moguls/xv6800. But thanks for your concern about this,so believe me alll those questions are covered in mostly all threads.

exactly what he said and the flashing guide that i wrote in mine and broski's signature is perfect and cant be much more detailed than that. earleady dont read threads more than one page so if i made a huge tutorial with BS stuff that everyone doenst have troubles with they wouldnt read it either. and all the problems faced are fixed in these threads and been discussed many times like the iota cab and all......

I agree! All the information is in all the posts, i just didn't realize i had to read through the first couple pages to find all the little tips/tricks. Maybe there should be something in the sticky letting us know ;). Of course i had to read around a bit to find the instructions for rom updates and such, that was all very clear, just the little things that I was missing.

Also, it would be nice to see remote desktop/terminal services included in the rom.
