Fix for the internet lag and internet is fast. Works for me but will it work for you?
So I was playing around and pissed because I could not sync one of my programs do to data packets dropping like mad on my phone. I went into with resco registry editior and changed HKLM\Comm\Tcpip\Parms and changed the TimerWheelSize to Value of 5 and soft reset via software reset. (Like Psshutxp) Now the phone is off the hook and netfront is super smokin' fast as well as my company programs syncs now. Give it a shot and let me know your results. Attached is a resco registry file to make it easy to import reg settings.

I also changed my dns settings to the following: (Super Low Latency)

4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2

If your data connection comes up and asks for username password, leave it blank and checkmark save password...

Im flying. Lot faster. One blurry thought though, the dns settings might have been a little faster before. i'll check it out. im running alltel ppc-6800.

alright dns settings are the best.

ik this is for the mogul, but has any1 tested with Vogue? i have done some regedits to enhance internet speed (but they only work with PIE)

I tried the new parameters on my Touch (Sprint) today, and it was much slower, a few minutes ago dslreport speed test showed my speed at 450kbit/sec after the change it was 120kbit/sec. I restored my old params but the speed is still at like 230kbit/sec.

I didn't change my dns settings, i don't know how to, can someone tell me how to change them on the Touch. Maybe that will help. Thanks :smile_mini2:

NVM i found out how to change the dns settings and I tried the new params with the new dns settings, my speed is back to 380kbit/sec, so for me is pretty much the same (just a little slower) with the new params. Maybe they are only good with Rev A. Thanks anyways dude.

naw they arent only for rev a the regulatr mogul users with the stock sprint rom have got way faster speeds on their mogul too.

very nice dash, this actually worked great for my touch :) was noticing some sluggishness the past few days, applied this and it's a huge improvement.

kinda lost u said go into the connections in setting, im in there but I dunno where else to go,im starring at add a new modem,add a new vpn, set up proxy manage existing connections, which one do I press and where do I go from there thanks in advance

Start/Settings/Connections/Connections/Manage existing connections.

Click Edit... Next... Next... Advanced... Then click the Servers tab. Use specific server address.

there is no way that they can tell on this feature. your not geting freeinternet access your just tweaking it to run faster. so you have no worries. and btw mthe tch guys that fix your phones dont even go into that area on the phone because they ont know what the hell it is for lol. so you will be fine with doing this bro.

The Resco explorer app (6.17) isn't running for me in vista (the keygen does though). Is there an alternate app I can edit the parms with (tried search function for vista compatible registry editor with no luck)? Thanks

the registry editr has to be ra on the phone not your computer.... you have to go and if its a cab install from the phone by double clicking r if its an exe you have to use windows mobile device center and connect than run the exe.

My device center isn't connecting for some reason. The setup .exe on my sprint mogul disc has a stopped working error (problem event name BEX). I know I could install the cab, I just haven't found one on here yet. Still searching though. Thanks for the quick replies bro. Any help I can get is much appreciated...

maby try to search google for the cab since you have the keygen and all. or try to use developers site.

it doesnt say anything about changing those so leave them blank. in my desriptions if soething isnt said leave it alone lol. i try to make it as easy as i can on you all.

Found cabs on developers site. Quick question, if I uninstall the apps will the parms still stay adjusted (after a successful install)? I like my mogul to stay pretty lean... Thanks

yeah they stay the same until you change back or do a hard reset.

yeah it worked for me i attached to wifirouter and did a speed test was at 376 down and 205 up. Did this reg edit and it took me to 512 down and 306 up. same connection thanks dash

TONS FASTER FOR ME

make sure if you have outlook email already setup that you do a soft reset when you're done with modifying everything otherwise you won't be getting your emails. i was worried at first, but then did a soft reset and now the internet is faster and emails are coming through again.

Nice!

Seems to work better for me, although I haven't tested the dns speed, but it seems to fly now.

One question. In the thread it said if the username and password fields came up, which mine did, dash said to check remember password which should be left blank. I don't have that option when I changed the DNS settings. Did I miss some step?

I went back in after I did a soft reset, and the phone had the auto dns tab highlighted instead of the values I entered in the tab below.

worked like a charm bro, i used sk tools to mess with the settings, quick q, where do you change the dns settings?? cant find it in sktools (yet) or does it make a diferrence in internet speeds??
