you might have to hold the soft reset button to for like 2 seconds. or how ever long it takes for the bootloader screen to come up. it will look like an tri color scree. like red. green. white. than after that you plug the usb cable into your phone than into your computer.

I'm trying to do the stock upgrade before any of the homebrew, I'm new to modding the HTC, did my girls iphone before but they have a lot of videos on youtube for that, couldn't find many for the Mogul. If I have to backup the contacts, how do go about doing that, I've read people using pimwckedackup, where do I get that from?? Appreciate any help and suggestions, thanks!

Dude please post in correct areas!!! Why would you post a question related to nothing to do with KAOS ROM TAKE 2?? Please search in the future as this question has been answered countless times.. You can also use the Wckediden Side MENU located to the left center of your screen. There is a help desk... I would read that and The NOOB AREA! you can find much of what I am talkin about below in my SiG. To answer your question.. you can use activesync for cp machine and windows device center for vista to backup your contacts. There is more then one way to do that this is the best way!! NOW :focus: :focus: :focus:

Anyone else notice that the [blue dot] + [sym] doesn't bring up the symbols menu? I can't find them anywhere, like they are completely removed. I need to use "$" sometimes.

sure...When typing a txt message (or anything else) u can hold down he blue dot button and Tab/Sym and a menu should pop up that looks like the default onscreen keyboard, except it has symbols like the money sign and others. now when you press the combination only the regular onscreen keyboard pops up, no symbols.

okay i was trying to do the kaos rom and i think i messed up. i installed the hardspl.exe, followed the direction of the set up. and the phone is red, green and blue, then i downloaded the kaos rom to my pc. then i downloaded the nph file. the blog says move the nph file to the RUU folder tried that. i am stuck. so i changed my mind about the rom and hard reset. and the phone is still red green and blue so do i proceed or what i am lost right now.

once the nbh is in the ruu folder just run the romupdateutility.exe file and you will be fine

honestly i can't really tell which one it is. how do i know which one to put it in. oh and does it matter that i have already hard reset my phone- i was freaking out.

the nbh is the only file that end with .nbh there just put it into a folder with the RUU then run the RUU..it detects the .nbh in the same folder

if you really just want your phone back to stock then you have to download the stock rom for your phone which can probably be found here...it's just an .exe file that does all we were telling you to do by itself

okay i copied it to the file and winrar is still giving me the diagnostic message. another problem activesync is not picking up my phone, i accidentally deleted my phone.
i am so sorry i should have just sent the phone to you guys to do this.
so what do i do now that my phone is not sync. can i still flash to the stock without it.

as long as at the bottom of the bootloader screen it says "usb" you can flash..try downloading the stock rom and running that

It is your rom (which is awesome by the way), and I did see that you removed the ability to disable it before I ever installed it, which is exactly why I'm asking how to get it uninstalled. And I already searched through at least a dozen threads trying to find an answer before I asked, and all I got was answers on how to make sms threaded.

Dash, thanks for telling me how to make the links work. I'm not quite sure if I clicked the right place, so if I didn't, can you tell me the name of the program/software and I'll just do a search for it. Thanks for helping.

you're making a bigger deal of this than it really is. You can get the stock ROM from HTC's website. Google HTC mogul and go to their support page and download the ROM then run it. Just hook up the phone to the pc and run what they give you. You'll be back to a stock HTC Mogul like you just bought from the Sprint store.

Kaos, I"m having trouble with this ROM. Once I down load the RAR file, I extract it, extablish a connection via activesync, and runn the RUU that was extracted from the RAR file. I get all the way to the progress bar and thats it. As soon as the progress bas shows up, my activesync looses connection, the Mogul shows a gres screen witha progress bar at 0%, and then it errors out stating the RUU lost connection. YOu know why this is happening? What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to copy all the files to the PDA via activesync, and then run the RUU off the PC, via activesync? Any help would be great, thanks guys!

look in my sig and click how to flash rom and make sure u do what it says.

Yeah I'm an idiot, I didn't unlock. I"m unlucked and flashed and everything is working good. Once this I can't figure out though is where to go to set the themes. I've looked all over the place, but can' find it. I know this is a stupid question, sorry guys.

Please post in correct arreas and the themes for the phone can be found in Start/settings/personal/today. Please search in the future as this has been discussed Many Many times!

Kaos comment then a question i am a newbie to flashing roms and i read and followed direction on a vista pc and worked great now reinstalling everything thanks great rom

now my question i was using win 6.0 and when i closed a program i would have to tap the upper left corner of screen and hit the X to exit the program ( from the today screen) kinda like it was running in the background so in trying 6.1 on your rom there is not a X in uper left corner it is the battery icon my question if you know is if i am in a program and exit it does it completely turn off (not just hide) if not do you know where i go to make sure when i am done with a program it is completely exited thanks

OH i did a search an no returns

LMAO... the ROM has quick Menu Built in. All you need to do it push start icon or the hard window key and you will see the apps that are opend. they will have a " x" next to them. You can exit by clicking the "x" or by using the center circle keypad ti highlight the opend program and then click right on the circle keypad. Hit the thanks button!

After you ran the hardspl.exe did you run the titan_extabl?? It will get you out of the rainbow screen. I could not find it on this forum so you will have to look for it. tried to upload but said it was above my limit. You turn off usb connection in activesync, run it, and presto your back up and running. Unless it is really bad.
