Re: Coreplayer for Pocket PC v1.2.3 Build 4012
Coreplayer. I wonder how this compares to TCPMP? Ive looked around and I know everyone normally gets blown up when they ask about something , SEARCH BUTTON. A whole section for comparisons like a "Consumers Report" for apps and programs like TCPMP,Coreplayer,Pocket TV WMP, etc. If there is that area and I didndt find it serve me a cyber ***** slap.

Dash I went to the developers site to pick up the trial, but there isn't one. So I then did a google search for it and bottom line is that there is no trial.

thanx dash, this is my universal media player then, i have to switch to another cuz oxios makes wmp act stupid and i dont want to get rid of oxios, but i agree with everybody else, i also get the (cannot validate serial, user id) message and closes automatically when i press ok making it impossible to try again even after soft resets, uninstall and intalls, so im gonna see what i can do about that cuz im stuck till i find a way around this, in the meantime im gonna have to use TCPMP, let me know if anyone can help, thanx

Re: Coreplayer for Pocket PC v1.2.3 Build 4012
Ok so I think I made a crack for this program. Pretty much what I did is edit the config.xml file. If you use resco to open it you can see that this file contains a serial (but not the right one) so I edited this xml file in my pc and replaced the serial in the file with the serial in the link on top. Then i just copied the new file to the phone and replaced the old file and that seems to work.
So dowload this rar file, unrar, then replace the config.xml file in the phone with this new one and you should be good. Dash I dont know how to modify cab files. If you do you can make it so that the cab contains this file and that would be great. Otherwise you can edit your first post to contain this instructions and the following link http://rapidshare.com/files/11215379...Crack.rar.html Hit that rep! |

So where exactly is this config.xml file supposed to go? Program Files/Coreplayer doesn't have a config.xml file after the install, and even when I do put it there, it doesn't appear to help any. Any thoughts here?
EDIT: Nevermind. Found it in Application Data / Coreplayer Thanks. Last edited by Todd D.; 05-03-2008 at 01:15 PM. |

Ok, I replaced the config.xml file with the new file and it worked but when I did a soft reset the file didn't save and I had to recopy and overwrite the file again. Am I missing a step in order for the new file to stick after a soft reset?

Ok guys I have a fix for those of you that either put the wrong serial in or upgraded from an old version of Coreplayer. Simply replacing the file that stores the serial will only temporarily fix it. The problem is that when you go to settings and remove Coreplayer it leaves behind a file with the serial info. So what you need to do is uninstall Coreplayer. Then go to fileexplorer and open the Application Data folder and delete the Coreplayer folder. Then reinstall Coreplayer. Now when you open it, it will ask for a serial. Put the right serial in and it will be fixed.

Well it seems that this is only temporary also. Now after using Coreplayer for about 5 minutes it is telling me that the serial is invalid.

Are there people using this version of Coreplayer with the given serial? It seems to me that either the serial isn't working or I put it in wrong because by doing what I did above it allows you to re-enter the serial....

ok so please respond with a fix or let us know there isnt a fix!

Well going to "Remove Programs" and deleting Coreplayer then going to "File Explorer" opening "Application Data" and deleting the Coreplayer folder will fully uninstall Coreplayer. You can then reinstall it and it will ask for the serial #. Using the serial number given here will allow you to get into Coreplayer and use it for a short time. It seems to stop working as soon as you use it to access the internet for YouTube or anything that requires an internet connection. The serial must get validated online and it seems that this one has been flagged and no longer works. So this fixes the inability to put a different serial in, but can't fix the fact that you will get locked out of Coreplayer as soon as you go online with it.

How bout keeping a copy of the config.xml file with the serial on it (the one I uploaded) on your mem card (under my documents) then just copying and pasting to the application data\coroplayer folder everytime? I would try but im at work and dont have a copy of the cracked config.xml file.

that might be the only way for this app since everytime it connects to the internet it automatically dials in. unless someone can figure out how to stop it from doing that.

Delete folder: Application Data\CorePlayer\ in Phone Memory
This gives you the ability as stated before to gain acces to entering the serial. Then just enter the serial in the below link. I never did the whole removal of app. I just deleted that folder, added the serial, and it has worked for both my phones. http://freetexthost.com/nvteh2zoeo It hasn't been Blacklisted as of yet. Let me know how it goes, good luck, thanks. Last edited by forty01; 05-19-2008 at 04:09 PM. |

I've used it, but I haven't had the time to do a true test of all capabilities(+ I've been ising SkyFire to view directly :D ). They have an agreement to view YouTube through their interface. It streams very smooth and all videos and music play w/o a hitch. Best thing I can say is install, give it a shot and see if it's you and it fits, because worst case scenario is you remove it :) Again, let me know how it goes, because a good full analysis would be nice to have for all future Junkies ;) Thanks.

LOL, I am still holding out on this Coreplayer. Seems like a nice media player but I just got all of my codec/plug ins for tcpmp. I will wait til the king has been crowned before I would make a switch.
