yes and you need to flash tpo the alltel rom first before flashing to the custom to get the radio and the rest is correct

If it is...do I start off by just running that EXE on my laptop while actively synced then after that is done, running the unlocker as mentioned above at which point I would have the radio setup and the unlock done and ready to go with the OMJ EXE?

yessir that is the rom that you will want and also be sure that you flash tto that first by just going through the steps and all after you unlock your phone using the unlocker which you can find in my signature... than flash the OMJ rom and you iwll be golden....... also please look at my signature for further step by step for flashing roms and all very ewasy and cant be broken down any more than that lol...... good luck and let us know how it goes.

Ok I am stuck. I had active sync connected and ran the unlocked utility...then it asked me to disconnect the usb and reconnect which I did, however upon reconnection I can no longer connect to the device using active sync...right now the device is connected to my latop and has 4 colors running across the screen (red, green, blue, white)

bro u are straight, it wont say that u are connected on activesync but your are, so just flash it.....

yup, if u unlocked then just flash to omj and u are set

yessir you are correct and than you will be done and can add the apps to the phone that you want.

Hmm another problem....so the Alltell installed and now im trying to active synce to run the OMJ...but its not connecting and when I tried to start active synce on the PDA...it said to install using the "getting started disc with your device on the computer"

Any ideas?

your not supposed to let the customizations run on the rom so hard reset and than do a soft reset when it says device will customize in .......3.....2.....1...... and than you should be fine.

But....for example when I ran the performance mod to overclock...I cant find it in the systems folder? Any idea why?

you need to soft reset first or insdtall quick menu and use that menu than it will be there.

I had to reauthenticate my phone in order to be able to make and receive calls...which I did

alright go to start/settings/connections/connections/than choose internet/and get settings and let it sit for a lil without falling asleep and than when done soft reset and try.

Add a new modem connection
Setup a proxy serve
Manage existing connections
My Work Network
etc


If I click on "Adda new model" it says name for connection = my connections
and says "select a modem" which is cellular line

Since you are on VZW, go to your dial pad and press ##778 and hit talk, it will ask for a code so hit ZERO 6 times and hit ok, from there go to Security and in here you will see you UID and Pass (Pass with be encrypted I think).

Ok just to update...the epst settings are correct...even when I made changes...if you run verizons over the air programming *228 all the settings go back to original. I still cant get on the internet however

I tried reinstalling the ROM and still nothing...i was unable to go back to stock because it would nto let met...i was able to run the unlocker again and reinstall the OMJ ROM, but again same result no internet.


Help please...im stuck here

Ok what I belive may have caused the problem is that when I did the Alltel rom install...i let it customize the settings (didnt do the soft reset before the 321 customization)...then after that I did the OMJ install...could this be it?

If it is...what is the fix? PLEASE HELP

Ok to recap:

I have a Verizon VX6900 and last night I tried to update to the OMJ GPS + Rev A update. I first unlocked the phone using the Vogue_unlocker_MFG_2.31 and verified that 2.31 was displayed. Then I updated the ROM to the RUU_Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.04.671.2_Radio_4350H_3 .37.10_Alltel_NV2.00_PRL30008_0331_Ship_withSpecia lNBH

version (i think this is where i messed everything up because I let the Alltell customization settings go through instead of soft resetting before the 321)



After this ran the OMJ.WM6.1.GPS.Verizonv2 installation and was able to get WMP 6.1 running but was not able to make any calls or get on the internet. Calling #8899 and authenticating got the phone calls working but still no internet.



I have since tried reinstalling the ROM which goes through but gets me to the same point (however even if i do a hard reset or reinstall the Alltell or OMJ ROM I never loose authentication with Verizon (dont know if thats weird or not).



What I think the problem may be is that the Alltell settings are not leaving my phone...for example if I dial ##778 and go into the security settings everything says Alltell..and if i edit these settings and then do a *228 on my phone to reprogram...all the Alltell settings come back. So I think the only way to fix this would be to revert back. to a 100% Verizon ROM and let it do the customization and then go through the whole process again...problem is I cant find a verizon ROM that will work.



I tried installing this rom (

[NEW] Verizon Stock Rom Version 2.0.9 )) but after the install the phone just hangs at the PPCGEEKS page...


I dont know what to do?

I found this thread which talks about sprint phones and even describes a similar situataion where Alltell was allowed to customize and how to go into the phone and change settings, but the instructions are for sprint phones. And the instructions to revert back to factory ROM I tried and thats when I get the PPCGEEK page hanging.

im having the same problem with a customers phone through bell. but anyways when i find something out i will tell you.... im not sure the steps he did to make it like that and all since i received and told him i would attempt to fix it...... but if i find a fix i will be sure to post it up.

Ok im only going to continue on one thread. First off I tried to read all the instructions and steps but there really isnt a very clear set of instructions which is understandable considering all the different phones out there and carriers.

As of right now my phone does not go past the bootloader and this is because I ran the Alltel install by mistake before unlocking to 2.31....the ROM flash froze at 35% and since then....im stuck at the bootloader....and I cant run any of the other RUUs bc i get a connection error to the phone and it doesnt go past 0 %....It does however detect the USB because at the bottom of the bootloader it changes from serial to usb upon connection....

So i called verizon, but there isnt much they can do when i tell them all i see is a red, green, blue, white screen

well your stock bootloader than so if you flash to the stock verizon rom you will be fine and can try again.

One thing tho...I got a download speed of 78 kb/sec? I thought i was supposed to get around 1500...I was getting 600 before. Any ideas?

ask for your msl with tech support and the number you can access that stuff and turn it on.....

msl is th unlock and when you ask them they ahve to give it to you it basically allows you to change the dunctions of the phone so ask them for the msl the ## number since i dont know verizons and than once they give that to you go through till you find an option for rev a and than once you do that make sure its says enabled.......

yeah i have done with customers phones a couple times and got gps to work without problems.

I have to say this is a great release. I tried a few others and this is my favorite so far.

Now, I only have one problem. When I try and syc my touch I get a connection error. It says disconnect and try again. No matter what I do I get this error. Am I the only one? Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I wanted to sync my phone to get my contacts. Thanks in advance.

Yes, once the flash was complete I let the os boot up and set the clock. Then before it optimized the os I hit the soft reset and then pulled the battery. Then put the battery back in and did the hard reset. I think this error has something to do with windows but am not sure. Either way I am going to flash again and see if thats the issue. Maybe I'll try a different rom release. I do have to say though, the gps works great with this release. Google maps is awesome with the satellite view.:brows:

Oh and the rom I am using is the sprint custom rom here....

Ok guys im on the phone with the verizon tech asking for the MLS # and they keep telling me they dont have that information....dont know what to do???

"there is no MLS # for this phone"
