Removing UnNeeded Programs and/or Files From Wing

ok, first off ILL SITE YAWL! SERIOUSLY, YAWL KILLIN IT! dash wcked tigerz big jew i c yawl doin it big!

ANYWAY!

im (amazingly) runnin bout 30 apps on my T-Mobile Wing, 5 of which came pre-loaded. Im barely startin to notice a speed difference opening apps etc...

so my question is:

Which of these PRELOADED apps can i SAFELY remove:

T-Mobile HotSpot Login Utility (which i never ever use)

Winwap Technologies Oy t-zones(seems to be my t-zone client not sure)

OZ Communications OZ IM (default IM client which i use unless i can safely remove and add a diff and SMALLER one like AIM+)

Microsoft Live Search(which i use)

T-Mobile Email Wizard (im sure i need this)

i just need to know if these are safely removable

ALSO

if theres any KNOWN files that are in \Windows folder or suttin that i can remove to salvage sum staorage memory that'd b greatly appreciated as well...

OK well, if anything came pre loaded on your ROM then you may find them under Start/Settings/System/Remove Program/ Then if the ones u mentioned above can be removed the would be there. As for storage memory .... you may just wanna get a big card. And if you are lloking for RAM then you might wanna look into a cpustom ROM for the wing and see what people are saying about the memory on them.. Hope this helps!

use the wap site wap.www.wckediden.com and also if they show under uninstall than they arent built into the rom.

You can Uninstall the Apps that are in the Remove Programs if you dont want them. They shouldnt screw the phone up. can a tmobile wing user CONFIRM please. Thanks

well on any ppc you can uninstall whatever is under that list without troubles

this wing sucks! text and picture messaging is taking up memory and not giving it back once they have been deleted... why is it doing this?

your crazy dude im with my 6800 and i have flashed to wings and my boy mejaa just flashed his and is gettin the same memory satisfaction as a touch almost....wings are dope you just gotta figure em out so you can fly just like the birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What wing do you have bro? The wing sux BIG TIME. The mogul has 3 times the HARD memory? No ROM is gonna change that!

look my homie just picked one up and we flashed 3 or 4 roms on it and its pulling 27 on mem i didnt even check the ram and runs just as fast as my mogul

Yea, like my boy Mik3y posted above, What happens when you recieve a pic mail or text message? Does the memory come back? Don't get me wrong I saw the ROM you posted and don't doubt that all the apps it says can be installed on that device, but I believe you will have the SAME issues. As I said above, its not gonna change the hardware.

LOL.....wow this thread is gettin a lil crazy haha....well i first wanna thank everyone here at Wckediden for everything without Wckediden i wouldnt kno anything.......SECONDLY I agree wit DASH and BIG JEW dat the wing will never compare to a mogul in memory BUT as far as the ROMs go.........i've recently flashed to the Open Touch v3.0 Biggy WM 6.1 and its been workin great. Its fast, smooth, and very stable....wit this rom I have yet gon down below 20.5MB of ram and wen i turn my phone off overnight to charge and turn it back on i get all of the ram back which is 25Mb of free ram plus da device memory is about 32-34 MB (now of course the wing WILL NEVER COMPARE to the LEGENDARY mogul) BUT compared to how my wing use to be i'd say its pretty dam good.....and i send mms and sms A LOT!!!!

hey, you can afely remove anything in the "remove programs" folder no problem. you can also remove a ton of other stuff too. i do it. i delete all the ringtones off the phone, programs i dont use. i have an 8gb card and use advanced config tool ver3.3 to reroute internet files to the card, i use pocket hack master and change the registry to allow better performance and tweak the phone too. great software. theres tons you can do to this phone. i run about 9 apps, and have 23.4 megs of free storage memory, and 19.8 megs of running prpgram memory right now. on a stock rom. haventdone that yet. :)
