I dont get something, all you have to do is change the value to 5... But why is there something to download at the end of the thread? I got the registry editor... and know how to use it... Just dont get the download link lol!

you can do it manually or if u want you can dl the link to set it also, but if u did the instructions then your set.

Should i do the speed test using PDA Net or go to some site on my device for a test to get the most accurate result?

Hey guys I'm using total commander to try to change the timerwheelsize to 5 and i push ok then soft reset but it wont save it as 5. it just pops back to 4 everytime. Thanks in advance.

make sure you close out of total commander before you soft reset for it to stick. and also after changing turn off the screen for like 10 seconds than reopen the program and still woll be at the same p;age than close and soft reset and you will be fine.

with rescoe 2008 the string isnt the same. when you go to tcpip and then parms theres nothing to change. so i reloaded the previous version and you can see why lol

i went to the tcpip folder then the parms folder but only thing there in mine was default option no other choices so i reloaded previous rescoe went back to it and edited and im good with 2.5 megs a sec lol

I would have to say that after adjusting to these settings, my speed has increased around 40%. I tried loading up high data pages (I use ebay) and can see a huuuuuge difference there.

so i try to go to dslreports.com/mspeed i try to run the speed test and it says my browser does not support this?

i'm using kaos rom, it runs good.. but should i use a different browser?

I tried it will alltel, Before i got 1200 kb/s , With registry and dns change 230 kb/s
if I don't change the dns and just make the registry change it stays the same as normal.

if you read the entire release it says to change it to 5....and yes it works for overall internet speed of the phone

koo thanks, i cant believe this the 1st time im messing with this lol but ok i changed the timerwheel, and i changed the dns but when i go back to check the changes i see that the "use server-assigned address" is always assigned instead of the the "use specific server address" which is the one i want it to stay on, any way to fix this?

i have changes dns to 4221 and alt dns to 4222 and checked use specific server address, clicked ok. But when i come back in to check the settings it say use server assigned address instead of the one i checked which was use specific. I have sprint, is this working right? No speed difference

yes it works and works great with sprint and has been tested thouroughly........ did you do everything that you were supposed to like change the wheel?

Yes I did and the wheel stays at 5 but when i go back to the dns settings its on the use server assigned address and not use specific server address 4221, 4222
