Hey Folks,

These maps are all v7, so you should have the new Tomtom 7 installed on your PPC.

Activating Maps
All these maps need to be activated using a new META file.

For the lazyones, here it is a small software multilanguage (English, French and Spanish) that, should crack your Map (maps versions 5, 6 and 7) in a blink of an eye. All you need is to insert your Device ID and select the map to be cracked:

maps titled Usa and Canada V-720.1803 have been taken down from megaupload
megaupload says it has been taken down down because of the following reason:

- Invalid link
- The file was deleted because of violating our Terms of service

reup please, or will have to move to recycle, since us and canada is the only real maps that are probably needed here...

ok i downloaded everything but i need help. where do i place the US maps? can i put it in my documents on my storage card? and also for the ActMap program, i typed my id and also located the META file. did i need to activesync my phone at the same time this is done? any help is apprecaited. thanks

yes because the maps are stored and ran from the storage card andnot the internet like per sya telenav or sprint nav are.

i put phone in flight mode .. that is basically the state the phone will be when i am in rome , and tomtom is telling me that it lost the gps connection , hmmm... so i am taking it that gps actually doesn't work when the radio is off

Installation Instructions:

1. Copy TomTom_Navigator_7.450.9028_repack1.cab (or whatever particular cracked tt7 name you have) onto your PDA and Install It.
2. Copy USA_and_Canada_720.1803 and voices to the root directory of your SD Card
3. Launch Tomtom and proceed through the setup instructions and select the USA_and_Canada map when prompted.

************************************************** ************************************
-- If the screen gives you the option to manually activate, go to 3A
-- if the screen says "Invalid map activation" and or "voucher" option, go to 3B

3A. Choose manual activation. Write down the manual activation code "XXXXX XXXXX" This is your device ID. Go to Step 4

3B. Shut down TomTom on the PDA and on your storage card, you'll find a file named "ttnavigator.bif". Copy this file to your PC and open it with Notepad, you'll see DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXX about the 5th line from the top. Go to Step 4

4. Copy USA_and_Canada-14.meta from your PDA's USA_and_Canada_720.1803 folder into the tt7-stuff folder on your PC
5. Open a command prompt (run->cmd) and navigate to tt7-stuff

6. In the command prompt type:
tt7_keygen.exe "path to *.meta file" "DEVICEID" (NO SPACES IN THE DEVICE ID!)
Example: tt7_keygen.exe "C:\tt7-stuff" "XXXXXXXXXX"
If successful it should say "OK" and create USA_and_Canada-14.meta.dct inside tt7-stuff folder on your PC.

7.Now copy USA_and_Canada-14.meta and USA_and_Canada-14.meta.dct from tt7-stuff on your PC into USA_and_Canada_720.1803 folder on your PDA overwriting existing files.

8. Run TomTom 7 and Select the USA and Canada map. You should be good to go.

now a few extra notes:

1) the info that you got from D/\SH doesn't have the tt7-stuff folder. the name of the folder is not important as long as all the info is there. i think the one you have is "insert_meta_file_here" or something like that.

2) you need to add the info D/\SH provided right under where it says "meta.txt" in the supplied meta.txt file.

these instructions will get you where you're going. let me know if you still have problems have trying it again with these instructions.

i have downloaded the itlay map and registered it
i placed in the root directory of the SD card and when i pick that map i get a popup error stating:

unable to start

not enough memory is available

if i pick my USA and canada map all is ok ....

i have 63M of RAM available and 46M of memory available on device i am not sure why i am getting this error .. soft resetting has not corrected the issue ...

why am i only getting this error when picking this italy map..?

my usa and canada map is even bigger then the italy one

Can some one help me out. I can't this to work. i am on bista and i think it is not working properly. I guess I'm just dumb, but I just can't get this thing to work. I downloaded all 9 of the downloads under the USA maps links and when I extract them only the first file will work. When I try and extract the others with 7-zip it gives errors stating "1 Data error in 'T.USA.v720.1802.pm\g-004608.r01'. File is broken" and "2 CRC failed in 'T.USA.v720.1802.pm\g-004608.r03'. File is broken". Are the rar files of the maps corrupt? Also, what is the "root" on the SD card? I can get TomTom running but it obviously doesn't find any maps so it just shuts down. Any help is appreciated, I feel like such an idiot that I can't figure this out.

just as an FYI to everyone, this procedure works with the Touch Pro. the only thing to remember is that the text will be smaller because of the different type video.

no and to all those that said that they cant get it i cant explain it any better than it says in the readme or nfo file..... it does work and confirmed above so follow the step by steps and you will be fine :>

the one guy is having problems on the download. is it possible there are some broken links? i already had all the map files on my card so it was a simple task to get this to work with the keygen. the really cool thing about tomtom on the touch pro is that there is no need for a primer. it works without it perfectly. it's just totally amazing.

they will go in the tom tom folder on the storage card.

copy the entire folder that was extracted to the root of your card. it should look something like this in your directory tree:

Got it working! One last thing though, where are the voices? I transfered everything I was supposed to and got the maps working but there are no voices. Anyone else run into this problem or did I mess up?

The voices should have been uploaded to your SD Root directory. ie Voices in storage directory
Same place you put your maps.
