the fix is actually posted in one of the pages of this thread more than likely 1-5 or you could even search tcpmp and theres one that says fix for take 3

hey i forgot to ask but your rom is the only one i cant get lennys hack to work on! do you think that if i installed dcd's carrier cab on this rom and then tried it, it might work? just curious cause your log says multi carrier?

Very frickin cool. Props to Kaos, very nice work. Not sure what made me install this after only having the phone for 3 days but it seemed like the right thing to do for all the effort put into it. Still amazes me the level you guys are working on with this device.

Ok I have the HTC stock rom on my mogul version: 3.35 and radio version 3.35.04 I want to flash to the take 3, but I am wondering what files I need to get it running.

I was reading many of the pages on this post and do I need to upgrade my radio before I can flash? Also can I flash right to take 3, or do I have to flash to take 2 first?? And do I need a diff version of the the hard SPL or is the standard one fine? Sorry for all the confusion, I just want to get this right the first time. Thanks

Yes you need to update radio. First thing to do is unlock the phone (search around, or look at any mod's signature and you'll find a link to the tutorials) if you haven't already.

After that, you flash the radio from Post 2 of this thread. Very quick and simple. Next flash the Take 3 rom (no need for Take 2). When it finishes, pull the battery for a few minutes, pop it back in and hard reset.

You're done. If you have a spare SD Card, I highly recommend using it to flash. Very fast and easy that way.

sorry Dsh I been off the pc had to do some testing at the track and been reall busy with my Prostreet bike, but to reply to your question earlier yes it does it either with apps install or not, but it does it every two out of eight times. But today I'm at work and will not be playing with the phone till approx next week some time and I will try different Roms to see if problems persist (I mean the clean version). You'll blasting keep it down--- the work that you guys do are second to none.

damnit....my 1st post and of course it has to be about a ROM prob. I'm dumb...your smart...i'm ugly...your better looking....

ok - on with my f up:
started with stock ROM
did the unlock - np
loaded the V3 in this thread

dumba$$ me forgot to load the radio 3.35!!!! so now it gets stuck at HTC splash screen (as it should from reading)

so I formatted a SD card and loaded it onto that - pushed to phone and it just sits at the gray screen...goes through the load and says update complete. I tried a soft reset and it still sits at the splash screen. do I need to do a hard reset? what am I missing.

many apologies for the ignorance - go ahead and nut kick me - I deserve it.

ok...looks like hard reset worked....although when it booted up it looked like a normal 6.1 load. going to try to to reload V3 through the RUU again....

It's going to look pretty much like a 6.1 load on the first boot. It's the toys you choose to add to it that make it start looking like what you see in the vids and such.

I believe he's running Throttle Launcher with the Diamond theme. That should be all you'd have to do.

use a program called nuefont.

as dash said before use nuefont..its in the advanced folder...if you mean keyboard...go to options on actual keyboard and select larger text..

Start, Programs, Advanced Settings (there's also a NueTools up there you can check). On the keyboard, go to an app that has the keyboard usable (notes or mms or whatever). There's a small arrow next to the keyboard option. You can select that and set options. They're still not too big. If you want touch usable, look for some of the other keyboard apps like Resco or TouchPal.

I have a games folder which is empty.
nuetools folder which has nueLED in it.
and Office mobile....
So i must be missing something, i have the stripped version of this rom....thanks.

bro in the clean version it isnt there. i dont have a cab file loose and i dont think that it has been extracted yet......... jsut wait for kaos to see this and see what he can do for you.

blackice, I'm sorry to say there is no nuefont in cab form yet. no2 has said it will be out soon.But that was on 3/10/08. here===>http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=1&gl=us

but i haven't seen yet.not for nothing but the build does stat in log report . Also i currently have a hybrid so to speak version of this in the works for sprint users. including built in smms for mms support. didn't think it was possible but this new build seems better then last. so if you can deal with it wait by Monday ill have a treat for everyone.but im also curious so i may try to cab nuefonts. thing is i wouldn't wanna piss no2chem off. so if im successful i would seek his approval before posting.

help! trying to flash kaos **** sprint take 3 rom when the rom tries to load no percents flashes and it give me an error. I was able to flash rom 3.49 5066. I have tried many times it locks each time I try the kaos take 3.

as moebius say make sure your unlocked.if you are flash radio in post 2 then try again.

well i found one problem for me... i got stuck on the loader or whatever where it shows the pic of windows mobile version 6.1 .... i dunno what its doing i just hard reset and it looks like its stuck again.. any ideers??

ok it just went through the loader after hard reset its working again. i installed the unlimited music id/ mobitv/ xm do you think that could have been the problem?

moebius this is a stupid question but flash radio in post 2? I did manage to flash my mogul with another custom rom. so I know it is unlocked.

Kaos' rom does not include the new radio rom. If I remember from your post, the version you were running would have been an older radio version. In either case, just to be safe, I'd try flashing the radio (link is in post 2 of this thread) first, then flash the Take 3 rom from the first post.

The other question is which unlocker is on there? You need the newer one. Hold down camera and power and hit soft reset and make sure you have the Olipro 2.40 (I think that's the number) boot loader.

I got it loaded. I had to flash the new radio then flash the take 3 rom. I wanted to set my mogul up how kaos has his setup on the youtube video but I see it is a lot more to it than just loading the rom. I assumed everything he had loaded on the video was in this rom.

btw has anyone noticed a lil extra battery drain on this? use to i could sit all day with it in hibernate and it wouldn't use any battery now its using about 5% an hour. maybe its the active sync
