i take it that you've already gone to the settings on the phone and adjusted the backlight for full brightness on battery power as well, right?

Well yah
the only reason I ask is cause I was checkin out a Blackberry and the screen just was really bright even in an bright outdoor setting it was clear and easy to see and my Touch was not as bright. no biggie just wondering
