AT&T Tilt (AKA HTC TyTnII -HTC Kaiser) LEAKED Rom Update

Another shipped ROM update for Kaiser, HTC TytnII - Has WM6.1 but still not better!

After a lot of bashing on the poor video playback (for over a year) due to lack of proper drivers for the HTC TyTnII PocketPC a.k.a HTC Kaiser, HTC has now got some surprise for its users. Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrade which is planned to be delivered as a AT&T branded ROM and will be available soon. Read more for the leaked download link..

Soon is for the official announcement but the ROM has already been leaked. If you're downloading, make sure you have applied Hard SPL so it goes through the flashing process without any Country ID or Vendor ID errors.

This ROM seems to have improved video playback (not best yet). More than the video playback, its the Radio part that has been vastly improved. Battery life seems quite same as before and overall performance on speed has been improved too with this new Windows Mobile 6.1 version.

Would anyone with a Kaiser recommend this rom? I'm getting ready to flash a new Tilt, and i need recommendations on which rom to use. Anything better than dutty's for performance and playing nice with ppc apps?

this is a great rom i flashed my boys tilt to this and i loved the way it ran on the phone.... highly recommended.

Dash tried to flash this to my boys tilt today , we where using vista sync center and it wouldnt let me do the update. Do i need to use active sync ? Or if there some else i am not doing ?

sometimes you can run into erorrs while doing so............ i would try xp if you have the opportunity to do so.

Tried active sync didnt work either kept getting Error (294): Invalid Vendor ID

did you use the unlocker for the kaiser?

Can i use the same hard spl unlocker for the mogul if i am trying to install this ROM on the TyTn II? i got a 290 error...

no you cant use the same hardspl... check out xda-developers for more details on this phone.

Found Hard SLP here for the Kaiser downloaded it , along with the app is a nbh. file what is the file suppose to be for ?

the nbh is the same as any other rom you flash.... you drop it in the RUU folder and than run the romupdateutility.exe file.

I just flashed this on my tilt. Works great. GPS support is way better. if you dont wanna brick ur phone and still have a managable ROM this is the way to go.

I noticed Beam wasn't included in the comm manager in screen shot #7. So does that mean I wont be able to beam?

good question...i never installed this but there's are cab file for beam driver somewhere or something similar

You need to read the Noob Guide on how to Flash a Rom , An TF3D you can't get on the Tilt it would be Manila 2D.

yuppers and for the unlock guide sicne there isnt one included for that device can be found at xda-developers and many of the roms have touchlflo 2d stock on them right from flash.

cool and if you need any help just ask i have modded a couple kaisers out in my day :) or in the rom tutorial thread just ask for that one to be added and i will make that tutorial for ya and add to the first post of that thread.
