Okay, so I have had the Verizon XV6900 for several weeks now and I'm all ready on my second one. The problem is that after a while my phone won't alert me that I have gotten a txt message. It is only when I awake the phone that it finally rings and vibrates and then shows that I have a message. Sometimes messages don't come in, in order. Weird. The same thing happened to the first one.
Anything you know or could suggest I would appreciate.

sounds like the rom is glitchy.... i knwo the verizon rom has had some troubles and this is one of them..... have you tried going custom?

How would I go about that? Would this more than likely fix the problem?

bro believe me when i say flashing a custom roms is the best thing to do,i was so scared b4 cuz i thought id brick it but u know what itll be way faster and take up less space. check out dash's sig itll take u where u need to go to learn how to flash.. or side menu/rom releases... just plz do a search.

i highly suggest going with one of Jew's ROMs, but that's just my opinion...kaos and jew both made very VERY stable ROMs, so just search them out and figure out which one best fits you!

a rom is the operating system. think of your phone as a computer. the operating system you are running is xp or vista and they have different version like home premium, ultimate, etc.... same thing with the rom custom built with apps and changes to the registry to make it perform better..... so basically the rom is how the phones runs and what it runs.

Alright. I've been reading and I'm gonna give this a go. I have one more question though. With my XV6900 what would you say the best rom to run would be. I understand that some of it is a basis of preference, but what rom will give me the best performance?

either the kaos rom or the jew dade county rom.
