Anybody under the age of 15 should not read this... Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid. It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it. You're a 90's kid if: You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!" You just cant resist finishing this... "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised..." You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World. You danced to "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls, Females: had a new motto, Males: got a whole lot gay-er. (so tell me what you want, what you really really want.) You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books. You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not... You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time" Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? was both a game and a TV game show. Captain Planet. You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together. When playing power rangers with friends you fought over who got to be who............and still all ended up being Tommy. You remember when super nintendo's became popular. You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny. You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders" "I've fallen and I can't get up" When you have played and beaten mario brothers/duck hunt. If you ever watch cheers. You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates if you memeber when every thing was "da BOMB" when they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!! You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool And You Were Obsessed with either 'Nsync or Backstreet Boys. But never NEVER both... You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell" You played and/or collected "Pogs" You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet. You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff! All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.) You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out. You collected those Beanie Babies. You used to wear those stick on earings, not only on your ears, but at the corners of your eyes. You remember a time before the WB. You owned a portable tape player. If you even know what an original walkman is. You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch. You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" You know the Macarena by heart. "Talk to the hand" ... enough said You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!" You know the significance of the number 23. You went to McD's to play in the playplace. You remember playing on merry go rounds...at the play ground. You remember dreaming to be on a Nickelodeon game show: Double Dare, Nick Arcade, GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Fun House, Figure It Out, ... You all know you watched All That, Hey Dude, and Salute Your Shorts... Remember and You Cant Do That On Television where getting slimed first started! Who Loves Orange Soda? Kel Loves Orange Soda.. Is it true? I doo I doo I doooo 00000000000 When we were younger: Before the MySpace frenzy... Before the Internet & text messaging... Before Sidekicks & iPods... Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX... ...Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night. When light up sneakers were cool. When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing. When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie. When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans. When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever. Way back. when it was all about N64.

There are some good ones but i felt i should add to the list!
-when going outside after school to play with your friends, was all that mattered! (NO KIND of technology! ipod, video games, pc's, etc. etc.) -Getting $5 as a allowance was a lot of money -We had pagers and beepers (Who The F had a cellphone!) -Specials Addmisson at the movie theaters. (Mine was paying 50 cents on Wednesdays) -You collected as many Garbage Pail cards as you could. -In Living Color starred Jim Carey :lol: -Cabbage Patch kid commercial got annnyoing! -My buddy, my buddy, my buddy, my buddy, my buddy and me!! -When OUTKAST had some good albums. -When having a GT Dino or Mongoose was the coolest bike ever! -When you heard "Can't TOuch This" you couldn't help but sing the song. (D/\Sh) -When Boyz II Men were the shit! -If you walked in to a Mc Donald's and Described the Big Mac. 2 patties on a sesame seed bun with special sauce, etc. etc. You would get a free Big Mac!! -You couldn't wait to go to publix (grocery store) to get a free cookie from the Bakery -Gas was $1.01 for regular. -Z-Cavarichi's were the coolest clothes. -Actually stayed home on Saturday nights to watch "Saturday Night Live" -Wearing and collecting the braclets that you use to slap your wrist with. (kinda made out of aluminum and would wrap around your wrist) -Upper Deck, Donaruss, Post. (think about this one) -Would open every box of cereal to get the toys. (yes we had some good toys in those cereal boxes) -Paid about $35-$40 for a music CD when it fist came out (I paid for a Paula Abdul CD, weren't many artists on CD's yet) -Watched the real Batman and Robin shows. RE: The Challenger explosion.....dude, were you in my class??? They rolled that same damned contraption into my class for us to watch...My mom was driving me to my 6th grade class when the explosion happened.....then we went out and traded Garbage Pail Kids Cards, played kickball with my friends wearing our cavarichi's and sang can't touch this as I kicked a homerun!!! RE: AOL v. 2.0 and 3.0.....hell I remember running 1.0....if I remember correctly, they had several versions in between 1.0 and 2.0.....1.2, 1.5, etc.....I remember hacking up accounts and running up thousand dollar balances and having to switch screen names once a month once they caught on.....funny part is.....that's where xxdbkxx came from.....one of my original screennames!!!!

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny. o we did funny stuff but i didn't want to pay 40 buck in shipping and handeling to ship a 10lb vhs tape. on top of that bob saget said if you mail your funny tapes in you won't get them back pffff

OMG - I feel so OLD now.
I have come to the realization that the only contact that I have with my oldest daughter is to watch her on Twitter. My youngest daughter knows more about myspace and how to build a webpage than I do. My son knows how to hook a PS3 up to my PC and download programs onto it. They look at me funny when I talk about records and have only seen turntables and know what they are because of the rap stars. This is so depressing. I'm probably old enough to have given birth to at least half of the people on this forum. Geez. OMG - I know what OMG means. LOL.
