after that, flash the new rom

tweety- i'm experiencing the same problem.. i always lose connection when i'm trying to use RUU to flash the rom or upgrade the radio.

since i'm using the old 3.35, i downloaded the link that you provided. stored it in the 512 storage card that came with the phone. pressed the power+camera and poked the reset button. the color screen comes up but after that, i cannot sync anymore..

EVERYTIME the color screen comes up, i cannot sync and that's what's causing the problem...

can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong.. thanks!!

OMG, i'm officially frustrated.. i started last night and the whole day at work i've been trying to flash this new rom to my phone.. i'm still stuck at the same place. i've flashed once before and i do recall having similar problems but i somehow got lucky i guess...

anyone in here ever came across error code 262? when you're trying to flash your rom, the phone goes the the color screen but loses connection to the host? PLEASE tell me how you went around it...

flash from the sd card...its only been discussed like 9 hundred and 99 times

i tried flashing from the sd card.

download the .nbh file
format to fat32
change name to titaimg.nbh
power+camera+reset button
then the screen turns red green and blue
once that happens, i cannot sync anymore so i can't even run the RUU.

am i missing a step somewhere in there?

wait..if you're doing flashing with the sdcard you don't need activesync. your steps are correct. but you have to make sure the microsdcard is a nonsdhc so 2gb and less. so i'll repeat the steps. download the file, rename to titaimg.nbh. format the sdcard to FAT32. put rom image on card, insert card into phone and then press power+camera+reset. then the screen will turn red, green, blue. it should say olipro 2.40. if it doesn't, then you're on the wrong bootlaoder. if it does, then you only see it for a split second then it'll go to a grey screen and tell you to press the power button to flash.

i went a whole day of sending texts and not getting any back from my girl... she an rn at a hospitol so i thought she just had her phone off, well after talking to tweety i had a coworker text me and i sent him a text come to discover neither one of us recieved the text, idk if its the rom/build but this never happend to me bfor... ive softrest and nothing...dont know what to do but anyone with an answer will be greatly appreciated!

recommended you flash to newer radio but don't really have to. if you didn't relock it then you don't have to unlock it. you'll love this rom

ya sometimes from flashing you loose your msid and mdn. make sure their all same still....you will need your mrl to check.if you don't have call sprint tell em you need to activate your phone..

ok got the rom in and wow this facker is fast as hell. nothing so far the startup boot is about 21 on old rom was 23 but thats fine. so far no problem on a note though upon startup u do need to actually reboot after setting quick menu if you want that as default menu. it takes a soft reset to disable the big menu or whatever.

i would like to know though what program do i need to run to take and install all my cabs on my storage card at once. i thought it was in this rom but it didn't start up. nor do i know what its called. any halp plx?

Dont think there is a program on the rom that will install all of them for you , you have to go and install them one by one.......

kaos as a comparison may i how you got the extra memory from the last rom compared to this one?

nine. reason your getting that is because the image is set for the area between the 2 bars. you have the bottom bar hidden therfore it will loop. if you get a image that is longer it will NOT do that.

yes you want to unlock with hardsp..... take a look at my signature through my profile or through some of the release threads that show it (or free talk) i have a link for how to flash roms..... very easy tutorial for you to follow.

i edited your number for you btw...... rename the file TITAIMG.nbh (all caps) and than place the memory card in your device and manually enter bootloader...... than just follow the steps on the screen :>

tweety - thanks for your help.. i finally got to flash the new rom. it was the boot loader after all.. i was using spl 2.06 as a bootloader and once i got the olipro 2.4, everything went thru smoothly..

one last thing, i'm still running off 3.35 radio and you mentioned that it's better to use 3.42 or 3.49 or something.. you actually posted a link for that radio but when i extract the file, it ends up being the titaimg.nbh file.. did you link the right one for me to download? i wish there was a sticky for all of the bootloaders, radios, and ROMs so it'll be easier to find..

anyways, can you please post a link for the newer radio and i'm planning on using the usb cable to update my mogul..

i'd love to flash the radio via sd card but i can't get pass the bootloader. the screen already says olipro 2.40 but it just gets stuck there. when i try via usb, i pass the bootloader but the phone restarts when the the bar goes up to 8% then i get the error code...

here are the steps:

downloaded the file thru the link that tweety posted.
extracted the radio file that has titaimg.nbh to the storage card that is already formatted to fat32
press and hold power+camera then reset button
enter bootloader olipro 2.40 then it gets stuck there..

any ideas?

getting the oems are nothing. easy to get but you really shouldn't hijack this thread as it is only for kaos take 5 rom.
and for flashing radio, usually when you flash via activesync, it flashes your entire phone not just the radio as others have said. it's much easier via sdcard
