only thing i coudln't figure out was that task manager cab.. this last install when i flashed kaos's new rom i didn't install the task manager cab and in previous stall i did nothing. but... overall it change dnothing either way. anyone know what task manager cab is suppose to be?

i believe there might be an app for it. then youde just change the xml file i do believe.

1. i added htc home 2.1.1005.722.cab made by schen as step one, which it includes opal folderview.exe (only way i found to install folderview.exe)
2. removed youtube link in internet widget (youtubeofficial cab is now in not needed folder if you are looking for it) cause most people has issues with playing video
3. added viewfolder.exe from opal rom in htc home 2.1.1005.722 cab made by schen
4. changed youtube link in internet widget point to xda website
5. also added htc link in internet widget as well
6. and finally camera 5.4 from polaris, opal ringtone, opal comm manager, opal volume control, opal keyboard ezinput, opal enlargemenu, opal title bar, are located in needed files but if you have issues with them don't install them.

if you are happy with the way you have it now than please don't update to update 15

for a mogul, id rather get no2chem pre3 that gets you 32+ megs of RAM to handle this big interface much better and still have enough memory to use your device without problems. Netx best would be Kaos take 5. In my opinion update 15 would be better for mogul b/c the youtube link was removed and youtube still dont work on moguls (and i wouldnt install the camera 5.4 from polaris, opal ringtone, opal comm manager, opal volume control, opal keyboard ezinput, opal enlargemenu, opal title bar that are located in needed files just to save room and memory cuz its not needed for TF2D to work)

We're all having that issue. No fix that we know of yet. Word is that the XDA folks are going to build a customizer like the one that was built for HTC home, but specifically for M2D. We'll have to wait for that, and use a city from the stock database for now I think........

Thanks, I wasn't getting any feedback thought i was the only one with the issue. I have the start of the customizer, it would be nice if it works like the HHC. It's funny i don't have a city close to me that is in the default data base, i can do without, that would be the finishing touch for this awesome UI!

I don't know if this has been answered here, but does this support landscape mode? I tried landscape, but it cuts off the bottom, so I can't see or slide the tabs. Not that I use landscape very much anyways, but it would be nice.

as of yet landscape mode is not supported.

I just renamed Skyfire.exe as OperaL.exe and dropped it in the windows folder. Worked just fine for me...

Update 15 problem. Can't open file. Message says that it is not a valid archive. I downloaded from rapidshare. Is there a problem with this file, or should I download it again? Also, I was running update 13, and I decided to get 15 because messaging was causing an error. Whenever I got a text message, touchflo would freeze up, and I would have to reopen it. I didn't know if update 15 would help. Anyone else having this problem?

why didnt you ask in the thread that you got it from????? and you dont need to because it just does registry edits for you to make it more responsive.

Because I got it from THIS thread.... It is bundled in one of the folders included with the download. I was simply curious as to how exactly it worked.

installed update 15 and running with no problems so far, had no problems installing either (i was lucky for once).........

Update 15 installed and running relatively well. Some minor bugs but I can definitely live with them:

Bugs include:

Touchflo Unexpectedly closes rather randomly but usually in association with Opera Browsing.

Opera Browser crashes and closes somewhat randomly.

I am running Kaos's latest Hybrid ROM from a couple days ago though, so there may be some interoperability issues between the two.

What are the chances that someone will get all this bundled into a ROM? TouchFlo2D + the Kaos Hybrid Rom. That'd be pretty slick IMO.

Finally, previously I had used HHC (HTC HOME CUSTOMIZER) to add a custom city to the weather section of HTC Home. Is there a way to get that city back?

go to a custom rom you are prolly getting low on ram which will casue the phone to do that..... on custom roms you have better management of your ram as well as all other memory aspects.

I've been using OMJs rom on my Touch for quite some time and am happy with it. Is there a rom that would work better with this? I haven't installed yet so I don't know how smooth it'll run, probably not too bad but if I can avoid problems ahead of time that's appreciated. Thanks for your time, I always appreciate it. Perhaps best thing is to try the Kaos take 2 when it comes out for Touch.

Ok I installed this twice (update 13), each time on a different rom.
First was on Kaos hybrid take 5. I ran into memory issues. At boot up I'b be pushing 75% usage. I also experienced quite a few bugs, unresponsive, apps closing randomly, old txts resending themselves to multiple contacts, S2U2 not always locking, nueMassStorage not working, keyboard backlight would NOT come on (could be a power save feature in Kaos rom, not sure.)

I then reverted back to my old rom, DCD 3.2.6 (kitchen) now I boot up at 64% memory and a lot less bugs.....so far, I haven't run this config as long as the previous yet. I will update this post as I notice any. Only problem I have running the DCD rom though is a memory leak.....

Most users have gotten youtube to work. You have to run the fix in that thread. I posted a link to it earlier in this thread, but don't have time to go back and re-link. Browse back and look for it. Not sure if it works for the 6800, but it does on the 6900.

I've been using WDM's rom from ppcgeeks for 3 days, it already it in the rom and works great. version 1.2

well yeah thats quite a bit of memory being ate up by the apps.......... they are both pretty big files you got to remember.

Each 'update' is the full install updated. So no, don't install all thinking each is updating the last.

Anyone know how close this is to being perfected? I love this cab, and I was using update 13 until I had some issues, so I decided to go back to swcked mobile shell with wm7 theme. As soon as this is ready, I am going back to it.

After running update 15 for a few days, it looks as though my DSOD issue with the Mogul is exacerbated by TouchFlo. Now that I've had it for a bit I can't live without it though!

Contacted Sprint, new Mogul is in the mail (2nd one in less than a month). I just keep on getting buggy units.

It should be here later this week and I'll install the latest Kaos ROM + TouchFlo.

Unless someone gets around to just bundling this in a ROM? Or better yet, building a ROM around it's functionality so we experience less memory + program conflict issues?

On the other hand, this is a BETA getting upgraded every few days, it may be a bit premature to toss it in a ROM.

I'd do it myself but it happens to fall rather fall outside my skillset. :(

Final question: Does anyone know if you can use the HHC to configure a custom weather position without busting the TouchFlo interface?

under internetwidget: opera 9.5 is hard coded into manila...not able to fix this

I installed this at update 15, everthing is working great. Should I update to 17 or leave it for a while?

Also, am I going to have to hard reset to do an update? I installed a theme for this and it showed up as a program so I removed it, then it got messy. Touchflo wouldn't launch (because uninstalling the skin deleted some components), but I didn't see that coming. So I had to hard reset it because I couldn't uninstall the M2D program to redo the other things and add in the opal files that I didn't install earlier. All that to say this: If I update, is a hard reset going to be required?
