New Sprint picture mail cab from the Sprint Diamond!!!
heads up...this works for some and not for other as I have seen...so please turn off all today plugins and soft reset after download and it should be cool...if not than you will have to wait for update to come out with fix...and you have to be enrolled in Sprint Picture Mail...




For this to work You need to start the IOTA program...and the below steps show you how to do this...

Go to Start > Settings > Phone > Services Tab > Select "Internet" > Click "Get Settings" > Start

The above screenshots are taken directly from my own HTC TITAN...I would like more people to try this app. out and tell us if they have success or are having issues...and keep in mind this will only work for SPRINT users with the HTC TITAN

the picture mail works. it's just a weird beginning. first you have to provision your pm. "The instructions are kind of off, but after you install the cab, go to messaging, then File>NEW. It should setup your device, then you are good to go." or for some people if that don't work, you can always tap send when you're viewing the picture. that has worked for me. but i'm not gonna use this for sure until it's perfected. i'll stick to smms for now

yeah...I found that one half a sentence instruction...but I did not include it because it did not make sense for the TITAN...there is no file area...they would have meant...menu and then press new...and when it says "please wait"...that is when it is provisioning

I am happy that some have got it up and running (As is smile with and envious face). Lol

The issue I am having is when I attempt to open/send. It quickly flashes to the screenies in post #1 then nothing. I guess i will have to fool around with it a lil bit more. Good Looking out Ice for the find & thanks for the info TBear.

Issue with the picture mail was due to the device not being able to access the vision service. I ran the IOTA, soft reset and everything is working smoothly.

Hope this would help anybody who was having the same issue.

Read the original post for directions on how to provision your Sprint network and get the Sprint Picture Mail to work...

So from the screen shots it looks very similar to smms in that you have to launch a utility and then create a msg and then insert pic.

Will this one also allow you to, if you are at the pic and tap it and choose send to send it via txt msg? currently if I cam using HTC album or PCM viewer the send goes to outlook email as an attachment vs. txt and so I have to launch SMMS and then go load the pic.

Actually it's working on my touch, I was confused with what was happening b/c I sent the pictures but didn't know if they reached their destinations b/c I got an Error 1012, But it made it, I looked up the error 1012, it's more a provisioning error with sprint visioning services. Maybe I will try to run the IOTA, in fact how do you do that?

please read the entire original release thread and you will see that instruction on getting to where you can update IOTA are...

that's the problem in a nut shell. provisioning is the problem. on my flashed rom provisional won't work. i get an error every time. when i used the real Sprint Rom i never had this problem.

I just followed the instructions in the previous post, especially the one above. At first I was getting the errors that you all were getting. It's weird b/c even after sending the pictures, the picture mail appears in my inbox under the Sprint Picture Mail account, and it always create an entry in my Draft account. Also, it's creates log files so you may want to check on where you may need to do some cleanup. I haven't tried the IOTA yet, maybe that will correct some things.

IOTA didn't work for me, but my pictures still going out so oh well, I am using sprint OEM Rom.. Just got text today to upgrade to the latest 6.1 From the HTC home site.

it won't allow me to select any pictures to attach. the software acts like it's working but when i try to attach a picture, it just starts over again. strange.

Yea, it did me like that at first also, but I went to where the pictures are locateid on the phone or memory card, clicked send, when the messaging account came up, I chose "sprint Picture mail", and entered the to person from there. It takes about 5 - 8 seconds to open, but it will open with the picture already in the media area. When I send it, I get the provisioning message, then a message that states the picture has been sent, then another message stating Error 1012. I sent a picture to a personal email and they are going out.

After my first successful send, I was able to do it the way you want to do it by going through Sprint Picture mail from the account selector. Weird, but it's free and working so I guess I have to make do..

most software that was designed for the Titan will work on the Vogue. it's a logical assumption that perhaps it would also work on the vogue. all "keep in mind this will only work for SPRINT users with the HTC TITAN" typically means is that it hasn't been tested on the vogue and the person posting doesn't want vogue users pissed at him/her when it doesn't work on their phones.

so. as a matter of fact, it will work on the vogue. it's strange how it works but it does work.

Sorry couldn't find an edit button so I could edit my original post... but additional info - I also can't see it in the Messaging Accounts screen to remove it either.

this is a great concept..but sprint needs to work on this majorly more.......has some bugs...all and all if smms could tie into the main message screen it would be unstoppable..

it works pretty damn well on the diamond and the touch pro...... i think it may just be the phones and the conversion made thats giving errors and all.

Yeah I think it varies how I access it... from pmviewer or htc it has an error but from stock viewer it works but slow and clumsy vs smms. But then again you can't tap a pic and click send with smms which would be awesome. Wonder if you can add smms as an account somehow...

Anyways still can't figure out how to remove the Sprint PictureMail from the account list or from the phone as it doesn't show up ine either the account edit list or the Remove Accounts

Just downloaded to my Mogul and runned a couple of test and work like a charm !!! been waiting for this for ever, this is great stuff, Thank You

than use a task manager like quick menu and close out of some programs that are running in the background..... also you can use an app called oxios hibernate to free up space or do a classic soft reset.
