okay so i flashed kaos rom and ran opera 1938 and it worked, i flashed dcd 3.2.6 and ran opera 1938 and it didnt work, and i just flashed no2chems 5069 pre8 and ran the same and it worked again...so something in no2chems roms is whats making it work seeing as how kaos are based off of his kitchens.

yes, no one knows exactly what makes it work or not, but ive come to the conclusion and confirmed that it works with no2chem's roms or based on his kitchen like Kaos's builds. I reported that at xda already so they can figure out what makes it work and eventually get it running on all roms

ps. its by far my favorite app :brows:

Im running Kaos touch rom and the youtube player doesnt work. it will open up and show me the popular youtube videos but when i go to play one, it says connecting and then freezes up.

added a fix for people that cant get youtube to work, install htc youtube and the fix cab and see if it works now

there are numerous cases in which the fix solved the playback error, but not 100% confirmed

see if it works for you and leave some feedback

Yes you can run it on your rom , it is uninstallable and i would install to the device.

i would flash to a custom rom. it seems to work for those. i'm on a custom rom by me and it works good. i would install the youtube player cab first to device i guess and see if that works. then install the fix if needed.

Have a Mogul,
Running Kaos build 420 take 3 ROM,
installed YouTube CAB and it didn't work,
installed fix and it didn't work.

i know its been said, just trying to 'sum things up' i guess :)


hope progress is going good on making a version that fully works!

yes, SkyFire can play videos, but not the full screen like YouTube and also more complicated to use with YouTube (having to press the tiny pause/play button).

yea i've flashed the take 5 before. i forget why I flashed from his to another one... ? but then that one wasn't great so i went to the 420 take 3. I think because the take 5 says its built from the BELL rom and that take 5 rom doesn't say SPRINT mogul, just mogul. but the take 3 says SPRINT. idk if that makes a difference, but with me being a noob, im more attracted to a SPRINT rom than generic one. i also don't have a mem card so flashing gets on my nerves having to reinstall EVERY app i have and reconfigure them. still learning though.
i'm sure ill flash to his take 5 by the end of next week :) (for the youtube)

its built off of the bell rom like radio and all but is made for sprint so your fine to flash it......

could just be your area or your connection.... give it some time. also you could try a soft reset if you havent recently.
