Reg-Edit to enable reminders
Can someone figure out a regedit to enable the REPEAT function in the phone and text message notification found in Start>Setting>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications. So it will act like a regular phone so when I miss and call or msg it reminds me every 2-3 minutes?
Im running no2Chems 6.1 build 5048 if that matters. Thank you guys for all the help getting me this far. |

Re: Reg-Edit to enable reminders
Repeat notifications for text and email messages :
Under HKCU/ControlPanel/Notifications find the following keys for Email and Text messages: A877d65Axxxxxxx A877d65Bxxxxxxx Also find Key 15F11F90xxxx for reminders. Copy the Options value from the Reminders key and overwrite the options value in both email and text message keys with this value (1073741853) Once you do this, go to start - settings - sounds and notifications - notifications. UNder events, select new email message OR new text message and you'll notice that th repeat option that was greyed out is now enabled and can be selected.:brows: Let me know if its works |

Re: Reg-Edit to enable reminders
I'm sorry if i sounded unappreciative, I have Windows Vista on my laptop, so I have done PLENTY of regedits (with vista you have to, or else it runs like poop) and i find them for the most part very simple (i.e. changing the shutdown timeout value from 20 to 4) but what he said in his post sounded alot harder, and like what was said in the above post, I don't want to mess up my phone. I have done a couple regedits on my 700wx, but they were simple ones like vista. just changing 1 digit. I will look into it more and eventually will try it. If i don't feel comfortable doing it myself, I will have a friend of mine that does feel comfortable with it help me with it, but he lives 30 minutes away I was just trying to get the edit script I needed before I had him help me. but you're right after i google it and read alot about it I will most likely do it myself. I wasn't comfortable flashing the rom on this device for the first 3-4 days i had it. but look at me now... running a customs rom with 6.1 and working GPS. the reg edit will happen as long as i continue to get the great support of you guys. Can you recommend the best free reg edit app, and will a hard reset re-write my registry if i do mess it up?

Re: Reg-Edit to enable reminders
Yeah i agree with Dash, but I would suggest, you use
"PHM Registry Editor" The Registry Editor allow you to edit your Pocket PC registry where all its configuration and tweeks are stored. It allow you to do the following tasks : # Explore the registry to find the operating system and applications configuration. # Modify system and applications tweeks not available from the standard options screens. # Export all or parts of the registry to .reg files. # Backup and restore the complete registry. # Perform search on the registry data. Like i said before goggle for this application. Its free. Im not sure on the hard reset, but any hard reset will restore back to stock settings, so I would suggest you just do a soft reset. But maybe Dash could help you out on that answer |
