Alltel Touch ROM question

I'll make this as short as I can. I have a Alltel Touch 6900. I flashed to the Bell Mobility rom to get the radio 3.42.50 which seemed to work fine. I then flashed to Kaos's hybrid rom for the Touch for Alltel. Problem is the NAM name comes up Bell mobility on my phone, so I hard reset, flashed to the latest Alltel ROM, let all the customizations run and it still says NAM name Bell mobility. I know this because I dial ##778 and hit view to find this out. I am unable to program the phone back to Alltel, it thinks it is a Bell Mobility phone. I called Alltel cust service and they told me I'm screwed and need to get another phone. Any suggestions or did I fubar the phone?

oso basically what are you trying to do? does the phone work? what are you trying to change you have me a little bit lost... and are you an alltel or a bell customer?

Sorry for the confusion buddy. I have an Alltel phone, I'm an Alltel customer. I flashed my Touch with the latest Bell Mobility ROM and let the customizations run to get the 3.42.50 radio. That went good, I then flashed my phone back to Kaos Alltel ROM thinking that would get me back to an Alltel ROM but with the 3.42.50 radio. That did not work, I am not able to use the internet. I called Alltel and they had me flash back to the latest Alltel ROM to clear everything out and start at square with a stock Alltel Touch ROM. I did this, but the Bell Mobility is still stuck in the NAM name when I dial ##778. Basically Dash, I made my Touch in to a Bell phone when I flashed to that ROM and let the customizations run and I need to know how to clear the phone out and get it back to Alltel. Sorry for the confusion

Also, yes the phone does work, I can send and receive calls. The phone is constantly in roaming mode though, even though I'm in my home area.

Sorry for adding on, I want to give you as much info as needed. When I dial ##778 it takes me into EPST screen and that's where I see the NAM name is Bell Mobility. I somehow need to wipe that out if possible

well your first mistake was letting the customizations run..... they dont include the radio so i dont know why you did that since the radio is built into the rom when you flash a stock rom..... so flash the alltel version and let the customizations run than you will be fine

I've tried that Dash and it doesn't change things, it is still stuck in Bell Mobility. I can still use the phone with Alltel, I just am unable to access data connection. I have done a lot of flashing on this, but I've never ran in to this. Alltel told me to call my phone insurance and get a new phone.

it will change if you flash back over to an alltel rom there is no doubt about it..... im 100% sure bro.

Dash, I flashed it to the latest Alltel ROM I downloaded from htc's site for the Alltel Touch. It is an official Alltel ROM and it does'nt change. It is an exe ROM so all I have to do is click the exe and it flashes, the phone goes through everything and it appears to have flashed just fine, the alltel logo's are all there, but when I go to program the phone, update roaming etcetera, it won't program and the reason is that when I go into the EPST settings it still says Bell Mobility

huh i have no clue what you may be doing wrong have you tried a hard reset and see if that works for you? otherwise im all out of ideas besides trying to run carrier cab for alltel

I'm where you are, the guy at the Alltel store I stopped at today said call insurance and tell them you had the Touch Diamond and it took a crap and get the Diamond. I'm thinking that may be the route I end up going

that wont work since it will show that you didnt have the diamond activated but the touch so that is what you would get.
