hey guys my mogul runs really slow, when im texting, i noticed me typing 5-6 letters faster than whats showing up on screen, and im not a fast typer at all...
can you guys help me speed up my phone thank you

what rom are you running??? stock roms are buggy and slow so i suggest going custom. On a side note, WM is slow by default IMO cuz im running a custom rom and i noticed that where its the slowest is in standard functions


example..... typing in different applications, same functions but different apps

WM standard threaded messages = Slowwww...
Vito SMS Chat = Fast as hell!!!

Internet Explorer = Slow!!!!
Skyfire, Opera Mini, Opera Mobile = Fast...

(you can try HTC performance to overclock your device, and also you can use SKtools to optimize for performance)

ireally wanted to go for a custom rom especial to get all the sprint crap out of it. im a novice at the flashing part of this! which is funny bcuz i flash psp's, but your right about vito, i kinda lag a little bit on the opera.

+1 to mike you should flash to custom you will notice a huge differance almost rightaway

kaos take 5 is highly recommended, it's stickied in the supported roms section found in the Wckediden side menu

and obviously i didnt do something right
cus now im stuck on the red green blue screen
and my computer doesnt connect with my phone

thank god i have an xp system in my closet

me, kaos, bigjew, tigerz, and many others use vista without troubles and you arent reading because it has been stated many times already all across the boards that its normal and the correct thing to happen.... you unlock and than go into bootloader than you will be at that screen mentioned...... you unplug the cord it says serial and when you plug it in you will see that change to usb. when it says usb you are connected even though it wont show on your cpomputer..... than just run the romupdateutility.exe and you will be fine and ready to go.

i tried this on my vista system, and got stuck at the same point, over and over again.
in fact thru repetition i have the process down
as soon as i went onto my xp system, i did the same process
and flashed the phone on the first try..
go figure

by any chance are you not using mobile device center 6.1? thats the most stable and easiest to use.......... if you dont have it i would recommend getting it.... heres the link

cool beans next time you flash over try that and let us know how it works :> and we are here to help and sometimes yes we get testy but we do understand how it is to be a noob :> every staff member here (besides me and wcked) started as an annoying noob that asked basic questions....... and just before this place opened i was the biggest noob of them all :>
