well i ran this on my phone last night and it seems to run much smoother but for me at least is a huge memory hog. with it running task manager shows 80% of memory being used where as with out only 52% is being used. i couldn't run garmin while running this because there wasn't enough free memory. i guess the 6800/titan/mogul just doesn't have the resources to run this w/out tons of memory being eaten up.

im running this on my mogund I get 26 meg at boot with this running, the only way to have this and use it on a daily basis is with nuekernel which is only available on nuerom

gotcha, if i wasn't under warranty i'd flas to that rom but i'm still under warranty so i guess i'm stuck. too bad i didn't wait an extra two months to get a new phone or i'd have the touch pro :bangshead:

you can flash just fine bro, just make sure you flash back to stock and relock b4 you take it back to warranty and you will be fine, they wont notice you even messed with it

I just read threw every page of this thread... and still cant figure this out. installed version 20.. everything loaded in and is working fine... AMAZING!
the only problem I am having is when I tap to ad a program to the program tabs.. it lets me select the program but does not create an icon for it?
the other one is the weather. I selected my city but the weather never updates?

any ideas?

if you check the original post on XDA there is a thread that addresses issues with those 2 features you mentioned. in my personal experience you would be MUCH better off to just throw on a rom with everything integrated already. i have done both methods & am much happier with the WDM m2d rom. everything is integrated.. WDM worked out all the kinks, there arent any errors like u get with regular installation..

more power to ya, but like i said you're much better off unlocking your phone & flashing a new rom such as the WDM Diamond M2D v1.6 Custom Rom. i can help you with this if you've never done it before.. as can many others.

i didn't notice you had the mogul, so you will want to find a rom suited especially for your phone.. it worked out best for me that way.

but once you find one, its pretty easy to do.. especially if you've flashed to 6.1 rom HTC dropped months ago.

I looked on xda I found the weather patch but I dont see anything about the programs not loading?

i had similar problems when trying update 20. i had the best luck with update 17.. i'd try that if it was me.. just install the files from update 17.. should be kosher.

just download the newest version and you will be fine....... hes just leaving all versions up and posted since there are some that many lie better than the other versions for certain things.

dude... I am loving this..... I flashed your take5 rom and then ran touchflo.. and everything works flawless... super fast no lag... loving it !!!

this is actually built into roms now too and its very easy to install if you follow the steps you will have no troubles.

really? what rom is it built in too? that means all i would have to is install the rom and 2d will come it it?

look in the rom section and you'll see one posted called m2d rom or soemthing

definately look in the rom section cuz there is more than one rom offering it... once you chosse a rom check into probex alien design it ts the best skin by far!!!

Actually... it doesnt require a hard reset...just a soft one.... and its pretty easy to install and figure out... especially if you get m2dc(manilla 2d customizer) then you can take out whatever widgits and do a helluva lot of tweaking you wanted... but do, I think, you overthinking it. Of coarse like D?|sh and tweety said you cold always just flash to a rom that has it built in, (but wouldn't that be the same as your concerns about hard resetting?)

if egress is a today plugin, then no you will not be able to.. however the RSShub that comes inside the rom i recommended is good & touch friendly. good luck with your hunting

Like he said... you wont be able to use any other today screen plugin, including your rss reader, but if you install second today (a second today screen app) and add a shortcut to it through your program launcher page, you can put your rss reader and any other today screen plugin on that... its very easy to link the m2d and second today

nah... not as long as you still have the cab or exe file that you originally downloaded for skyfire... just back up all you apps and stuff like skyfire on your pc or even or your sd card... and you should be god to reinstall once reflashed

yes that one would work or you could go with hibbys for the touch .

i like hibbys work, not only is his roms stable and run flawlessly, but he has the newest version preinstalled for you unlike the outdated one you were looking at...... tell us in the roms thread how it went for you and how you like it if you would :>

Love it...was running Winterface...but I didn't like that i always had to reboot it. Running stock rom and have no issues...i'd like to flash to new rom but still to new to try...once again thanks!!

I have Touch Flo version 2 (build 28554) and when I try to install this it says "unsuccessful. the Program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."

there's a couple good touch roms if you look in supported rom release section you should find a few

yeh i was lookin at a few but i didnt kno i needed to unlock my phone, i havent done that.. im not huge on cookin,chopin and screwing roms lol or even installing them so i wanna try to install m2d without a new rom

yeah I think all the cabs are included for version 20, they are there in version 19 and version 20 it say it was built up to htc spec so all the cabs should be included... if not its easy to find the extra, like google maps and such... Personally i have most of that stuff already, opera, google etc...

koo, their are 9 cabs in the version 20, now is there a specific order to install them in? and once i have them installed, i can go back and removes things such as HHC correct?

I tried that too. I have a cooked rom for Cricket by ToO from H.F. I cant disable the original touchflo. Could this be the cause? Is there a good rom for cricket here on Wckediden that has Internet,mms, and all that will accept this?
