hey i am new to this and i am getting my HTC pro later today and i have been looking up different themes for it and i was wondering how i get the themse and what not to work on it.! thanks!

Well there is a couple of different ways to get themes on your phone, as well as certain things off.

First off I would take a look at these:

One way to get rid of all that crap on your TP as well as adding some cool features that sometimes your carrier deletes, such as FM Radio, tethering for internet through you TP, is to FLASH your ROM, or put a custom TP Operating system on there. Make sure you read how to do that, and if you have anymore questions ask in that forum from the link I sent you.

thanks for the info...now i am going to feel really stupid but what changes when u add new roms? what should i look at and...ilooked at how to do it but its still confusing to me...and i downloaded a few themes from the site...which by the way are awesome!...should i use a custom operating system or should i stick with the one on it and just do the themes?

When You add or change your ROM the guys here who make the roms remove what is called bloat wear. Just things that say sprint puts on there that you don't need and makes your phone move slower. As well, the ROM makers add things back on that say some Carriers take off, such as the FM radio, they simply put a hack that automatically comes put in the custom ROM so you don't have to go hacking and all that jazz, it is all done for you!

I would if I were you just install the themes first and then after you get that, go into the ROMS it gets your feet wet in the kiddie pool before jumping into the lake......If you have any more questions let me know!

Make sure you donate! Stuff costs people money to make! Doesn't have to be a lot, a little goes a long way! Plus you get so much stuff for free that a lot of sites make you pay for! Just like 5, 10, 15 dollars will give your WAY more in return!

well thank you alot! and another few questions is how do i get my start menu and the one below it to turn diff colors i want to get it black...and i also need to know how to start the throttle lock!

As far as I know turning your start menu diff. colors usually was affected from the theme you had on, now i have used something called UT, or UI editor or something around those lines that edited colors of things within your phone, so I bet that would be your best bet, but the exact name escapes me.

As far as the throttle lock I believe you unzip it on ur pc then drag the files individually to the program files folder when exploring the phone. i dont remember which folder exactly they were in but you can find them and just replace them in there.

wekk i am having a hard time with the throttle lock cause there are no files in program files where i can put these. is it easy to make these throttle locks? just find picks and add prefix .png? cause if so i would love to try to make one! and see how it goes!
