give it a shot and see if the registry value that have to be changed is even on the touch pro.... if it is there i dont wee why that you couldnt use, tested and conformed on the vogue already.

ip address to use for what? you have me lost there....... all you will need to do is install the cab file and soft reset than the net speeds will be faster on your device.

ok i read the thread again (twice) so if i just change the timewheeler to 5, then add the parm.zip i will be gravy or do i still change dns setting or am i understanding that the parm.zip does it automatically. plz get at a mexican. also then reset after parm.zip is added and ran

okay bro, this is what dash is telling you to do:
hit start/settings/comunications/comunications/manage existing accounts/edit/next/next/advance settings, in there change the ip address to 4221 or 4222/ hit use assign ip address/okay/finish(IF you get a password message, just hit save and dont mess with the password). hope that helps you bro. and if it works for you , hit that thanks and installed button.

josamu thanks so much for the support but i am still having trouble! ok i am in advanced/settings under the tcp/ip tab, and user server-assigned ip address is checked but does not give me the option to change anything unless i pick use specific ip address, also in this same location it does not specify that it is a dns number. but when i go to the servers tab, user server-assigned addresses is checked and does not give me option to change dns unless i pick use specific server address. so to be very clear is that where i want to change the dns. also there is a dns and an alt dns. before i was changing both the dns and alt dns. but i have already hard reset and am ready to try again. one more thing do i still need the resco registry to change the timewheel to 5. thanks so much for ur patients

yes, install resco registry, do all the tweaks to the regestry that are mention above. after that, do the steps i mention above. when yoou get to the ip address screen, just type 4221 where the zeros are, hit okay, and then finish.

one more thing what is the parm.zip that is attached to this thread for do i need that a well? so i change the ip adress in the advanced setting under use specific ip address not server- assigned address? ok i am going to give it another shot thanks very muncho

do u know if this help with the video sites bundle and tcpmp to watch youtube still seems slow to me if not slower. Just wondering if any one knows? I mean considering i did this rite. Does the touch pro have these issues or is it better than htc touch alltel 6900?

OK, WOW I tried this for the heck of it, I'm tired of being a scardey cat and not wanting to "mess with registry" stuff, so with the "dotFred Regeditor" app that came with my ROM, it was simple as pie to change the "timerwheel" thing to 5 and YEA, internet browser is alot faster!!!

AND I figured out the editing of the DNS settings..........YAYYYYY MEEEE!!!

touch pro i believe is better. why dont you donwload skyfire? then you wont have to worry with bundles, it has full flash support. give it a try.

I don't have a TOUCH PRO, I have the TOUCH. And I just got it as a "replacement' for my mogul. Alltel wouldn't budge on giving me the Pro, so I settled!!! I'm happy with it thus far!!! but thanks for the suggestions!

11 is default, change it to 5 to get the faster speeds

this has nothing to do with mortscript so that error is from something else that uses mortscript on your device........ what apps are you running on there?

but about the DNS, why once i change the DNS but after soft reset it keeps going back to default
