What is?
PocketShield is an intelligent locking/unlocking application. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you. For example: when receiving calls, email notifications, SMS, alarms, etc. As you may have experienced, Pocket PCs ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã¢â‚¬Å“wake upÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â whenever any of these events occur, but the problem is: what if the phone is inside your pocket? or even inside its case or pouch? Touch screens are sensible and will take any touch on the screen as a user input, and arbitrary ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã¢â‚¬Å“touchingÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â ¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â could cause many undesired results! (refer to questions on top).

Yes, Windows Mobile locks the screen, but unlocks the Answer and Ignore buttons as soon as a call rings, so it is useless. The same happens when any notification pops up, the Snooze and Dismiss buttons are enabled even when screen is locked, leaving them vulnerable to any accidental touch.

Oh! Now I seeÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¦ So, how it works?
PocketShield completely locks the screen when phone wakes up and is inside your pocket or case, and unlocks it automatically as soon as you take it off. Magic? Hmmm could be! Latest HTC devices come with an integrated light sensor, PocketShield uses this sensor to determine if the phone is inside something(without light reaching it). So if its receiving light it is probably because you have it in your hand, or you have it over your desk, or someplace where there would be no reason to have it locked

I personaly use this one... I like the slide2unlock feature.. Not too sure if Dash posted nor do I think he uses it.... If you do like the app, you can press the THANKS BUTTON!

Install went fine, but when I went to Program Files and clicked on "Pocket Shield" I got the error message "an unexpected error, etc etc" any ideas as to why?

No, unless you didnt softreset after you installed it. (you do that with anything you install)

For some reason I can not edit my post; but after reading I had to install the latest .NET framework 3.5 and all went well.

Application is AWESOME

Hey I got the same error too where did you get the latest .net framework? I need the latest one cuz i keep getting errors on alot if applications...

When you go into the program settings and click on the "ABOUT" tab it says "Activate" - can anyone please post the activation code because this program is only a trial for 10 days.

how come when i download the software to my pc, it doesnt automatically start downloading to my touch pro? I have it synched to the pc.

you have to double click on the exe file that you downloaded... i would suggest looking below and reading the noob guide located in my signature.

been monitoring the program... shows activated but sometimes when going to unlock... i see the trial countdown ... i wish someone could come up with a keygen .. anyone....

there are about 5 different versions of this program floating arround the net. I personally tried 3 of them and the nag screen would not go away. alas, i bought myself a copy for christmas.

I just did a search and didn't find ANY other versions of this program here. Not even the old cracked v1.1.3 that used to be here. I still get nag screens with this one. Does anyone have a full v2.1?

I have the slide left/right to answer/ignore and like that better.
