ok D/\SHY!! i got it working :) seems as if i had a registry problem on my laptop...i used a registry cleaner and applied a few updates i was missing and i was able to patch it with no further problems :) thanks a lot for all ur help! :) love ya!!!

D/\SHY here i am again...lol...just wondering..is it normal for PDAnet to keep dissconnecting on its own...cuz its workin fine and everything but like 20 minutes into tethering it dissconnects and i have to keep reconnecting and what not...is there like a setting that i can change or is my phone just actin up??? thanks in advance hunn!!

naw i havent had those troubles myself..... does your screen on your device or your computer turn off or go to sleep when this starts to happen? or is it without the computer screensaver or sleep mode activating?

none...the screen on my phone and my laptop are on at all times...for some reason though it just dissconnects and i at times when i unplug and plug my phone back onto the usb it wont even detect my phone it will just charge it...im having a feeling i might have to hard reset...because ive been having little issues like that since day one...what do you think???

I have been having the same issues I take my notebook to work on Sat & Sun and I have noticed if I have two many windows open (3 or more) or try to download alot at once PDANET crashes. But other times when playing spades for long periods and not doing anything else its fine. So basically try to reduce so of the things your doing and if you have done already install Call Wall ver 1.4 to block sms and calls from interfering with your connection.

I almost forgot when your notebook do not see your cell go to PDANET on your phone and at the bottom click Stop PdaNet. As soon as you do that go back to it on your phone and the pc will find it. I have to do this 3 or 4 times a day at work myself

i ran this the other day on my sisters computer with my phone. it seems to stop working around 16 mb, then id have to disconnect and reconnect. is there something wrong with the computer, or is there something i was doing wrong?

did you run the patch for the app? sounds like you dont have the full version of the application running but instead trial.

this will work on the touch pro without troubles. but if you havw a custom rom tethering is already included for free without any troubles... jsut select the option from the list when you connect your phone to your computer and make sure the wifi switch onm your desktop/laptop is tunred off and all connections are free.

thank u dash vary much, i got it working now.... hey how come that is not stated in the custom roms that the internet sharing works without paying for it, and u can use ur phone as a modem?

it does in the very beginning of the changelogs... this was one of the first things that was hacked into the device and custom roms when it first came out...... should of asked sooner and you would have known ahhahahaa but you know now and thats all that matters :smile:

hey the active sync, file sharing and internet sharing is not poping up no more and it's not letting me connect anymore. well when i go to connection and do it that way it says connected but it does not let me connect to the internet. it says check usb cable. i moved it around in the back of my tower to see if it will work in a different port but no go. any ideals?

i know this is the wrong thread to ask this but im on my tp coming from work cuz i got rained out and cant really search around for the support thread.
