Update: "nuekblight 1.2 I noticed that sliding the keyboard open no longer turned on the device, so that is fixed in this new version – be sure to soft reset after installing. no2chem"

Okay, nueKBLight 1.1, a big improvement over 1.0:

-Keeps keyboard backlight on as long as keyboard is open
-Checks if keyboard is open instead of screen rotation
-Overrides keyboard driver ISR (this may break compatibility with RAPH 800, untested).

A side effect of this new version is that it accelerates the speed of screen rotation, since instead of using HTC’s bulky routine, it uses my rather short and efficient routine. Unfortunately, it seems to break manila landscape mode, apparently manila uses some special (stupid?) way to figure out the screen orientation from the keyboard driver. I’ll get that fixed once I figure out how to tell manila to use landscape mode.

this version actually breaks landscape manila, so I wouldn't recommend installing it until no2chem fixes the issue.

This sounds like exactly what ive been looking for for my pro.

The mogul had the option to turn the backlight on the keyboard on while it was open at all times i wonder why the pro didn't have this option.

Thanks Metal... I appreciate you keepin an eye on this for me... I knew No2chem would put an updated fixed version out ASAP... I was gonna go download and post this morn, but you held me and the rest of the Wckediden down... much appreciated!!

I was thinking the same... I mean, theres a way to increase the time of the kb back light to stay on while keyboard is deployed... but this is a great alternative to those who want a permanat and regular fix, and dont want to deal with adjustin it through the registry or adv config tool

nueKBLight 1.4

* 1.4 Updated some routines to be faster; added configuration panel, now supports sliding sounds and light sensor


nueKBLight is updated to version 1.4, this version supports sliding sounds and the light sensor, as well as input change on slide.

Its not a direct replacement of nueSlidingKeyboard yet; since it doesnt work for all devices yet. Also, its the first package to use my nueSetupKernel framework.. so well see how that goes. If you need the cab for OEM purposes, its a resource in the exe installer, just extract it using a resource editor.
