Default HTC saved text location

Hi,

I woudl like to know if there is a way to copy the text messages off of my phone and save them onto a PC? and in doing to remove them from my phone so that they do not take up storage on my phone. I was hopeing its as simple as drilling down to the directory of the text files, and copying them onto my pc via the USB cable.

Is this the case? and if so what is the patch to the Text messages?

Thanks in advance.

and sorry if this has been asked before.

Brian

You may also want to look into a software called Flexilis. It's not a back up program per say, but it does back up all of your texts onto their server.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for, but here goes.

I use a service called Dashwire. Bit of a pain, when you have it to autosync. It automatically looks for changes and updates them on their server.

With having to change handsets like 4 times in the last month, it has been a lifesaver. Contacts, pictures, videos, text messages, all of it.

Also use Flexillis, in order to keep things safe. I messed up when I did my last install and cleared all my contacts because I told it to back everything up. Well, I hadn't backed stuff up to them in the first place, so I lost all my contacts. Luckily, I had been on autosave with Dashwire, and I still had everything.

It's a good idea to read everything before you hit the okay button, you think?

You can share and print from Dashwire too, so maybe that will help with your text issue.
