Hi 1.7 has been out for a couple of days. it is on page 107 of the original thread at ppcgeeks. I would post the url but i keep on getting warnings about coding them and I am way too tired to figure out how to do that right now. Also, he stated that he is coming out with a newer version of his rom tomorrow, so flash at the risk of knowing you might be doing it again real soon. 1.7 is awesome. The best one so far and SUPER fast.

ok i have been running 1.6 for 2 weeks and i have to say its a great rom. but there is a couple things though the data connection stays on and that eats the battery fast. also i froz 2 times in the last week but softreset and its good as gold. the rom is fast. the tf3d2 runs great nice and fast as well. the 6.5 interface runs great as well. other then that cant say much more.

ok i just went over to ppcgeeks and was looking through the thread about 1.7 and there a 2 versions witch neither are really complete. starrom was in a car reck and his tp got destroyed. he said when he gets a new tp he will be fixing all bugs for his latest rom release. all of the 1.7 roms and everything he released is what he had on his computer and not completed. so if u upload 1.7 they are still in bata and u have have to download and install fix programs to get them to work right. well i hope this will help. for me im staying on 1.6 untill he comes back with a finished 1.7 and runs better then 1.6.

p.s. i think big jew posted the data fix that he had to use on the chopper rom because that rom was doing the same thing. could some one re post that for me so i can upload it. thanks alot

ok i forgot to say this about the roms. 1.5 and 1.6 roms the media player is all wired. i can listen to the song once the hole song but when i go back over the list of songs i have it starts playing them like demos. because when i am at work i keep my tp in my hardhat so i can listen to music. but now it plays all songs like demos and i have gone through every setting and cant find anything. is there a fix for this or am i the only one having this problem.

He was planning on coming out with a newer one than 1.7 as I stated in my original post. You should give 1.7 a try. You will not be disappointed. IT IS NOT INCOMPLETE.:evil6:

I don't know but 1.7m has TF3D2 on it and it is newer. page 107 in his posts at ppcgeeks.

you will need to use winrar to open the rar file and than once you have it open follow the guide and as long as you are unlocked all you have to do is connect your device and make that partnership and than run the custom RUU or the romupdateutility.exe... it will be named one of the two nad mixed in with aout 10 files or so in the rar folder. hope this helps and feel free to ask if you have further questions.

nope i actually have the chrome with no touchflo and am loving it... very stable and havent had troubles this far.... everything is snappy and working as should include all tabs and skins for windows default..... i will report back more tomorrow when i have tested since i just now have got all set up.

just connect to activesync or mobile device center and than open the ruu folder and fouble click the romupdateutility.exe or customromupdateutilty is the name of it......

just to be clear man... i don't have to copy the signed nbh file from the starRom and put it in the original RUU and i don't have to put phone in bootloader mode. All it takes is for the phone to be unlocked, an activesync, and a simple double click on the customrumupdateutility??? i'm just cautious

Yes you are right run the Unlocker and the romupdate and shall be good. Let us know how it goes for you.

yeah, the Rom is smooth and slick but the battery life is bullsh*t for me, i tried the pull battery out and hard reset after flash trick i it still sucks, i'm flashing back to the ATR3 Rom unless anybody knows a smoother Rom with good Battery life..... get at me.

I just installed 1.7 yesterday and I like it alot more then 1.6a even though they are almost identical. Everything works on 1.7, even the themes, which I had a problem with on 1.6. I have not had to charge my since yesterday and I still have about 30 percent left which is the best yet for a 6.5 rom. Love the 4 line layout in the menus guys! This Rom is hott!!!!!! Thanks guys

Ok, just an update. I'm still running and this thing is great! I did have an issue with the alarm not playing the sound that I chose so I tried the G-Alarm that was cooked in and it told me there was a alarm bug but it would fix it with a soft reset and now the regular alarm works perfectly!!!!!! The media player is hott! The internet sharing is a little slower than usual but I only use it when I can't get service so no big deal. I will continue to run this rom for a while and I will update with anything else I find. Thanks again for this bomb a** ROM!!!!!!

cant wait to see this, these seem to be the best two roms going right now; would be nice to see whats good about each. liking the titanium version of 2.0 with that comm manager patch. no glitches yet everything works great. will report with any glitches tomorrow.

yuppers should be good and will have plenty of time to write it up since i am stuck at work all day tomorrow and sundays are slow.

Agreed with you there Star rom by far is my favorite rom , need to flash SSS and compare the 2 now !!! Since I been hearing nothing but good stuff on it.

i have been using this rom all day and have had no problems, i am using the mobile shell 3 for interface instead of the titanium or tfl3d 2 and battery life has been really good, the rom seems to be smooth and fast..knock on wood no freezes...i flashed the tfl3d 2 one and not the titanium one.....

thanks for the review on the touchflo version of this rom. i am on the titanium only rom and loving it! havent had any freezes or glitches what-so-ever thus far. i started with a fresh battery for the flash and set up all my apps as well as set up and tinkered with wisbar advance desktop for over 2 hours, as well as texts and calls inbetween and still have 50% battery life left with the screen on full blast brightness like i always have it set :) but so far so good and it is running WAD great as well as titanium also at the same time with no troubles so i can alternate between the two of them very easily.... i will be writing a comparison review on this later tonight between this rom and sss rom and the pros and cons to both....

Here is what i think of Star2.0. The Titanium on this rom runs the best out any 6.5 I have tried yet. I like the fact the Favorite People and Weather where built. Opera tab is great too. Loaded down the rom with lot of apps and it still ran great no matter how many apps I opened. Like Dash and Venum have stated the 6.5 lock not being on there it being 6.1 is a down. The Keyboard laggs alway at the start of the text too, so have to give a few seconds before texting. But overalll a really great rom.

well it is there...... to get the 6.5 lock as venum found you have to go to start/settings/lock/display and change it from classic to windows default.

yeah they try to make flashing as easy as possible. Alot of the roms are this easy to flash, but most are not this stable. Starrom is still running extremely well after 3 days of use, this is the first time this has happened for me on a 6.5 rom...wow. lol
