[ ISSUE SOLVED ] Cant activate phone
Ok, so last October (08) i got a replacement PPC 6800 from sprint to replace my other one. Anyway, i never got around to switching things out until now. I wanted to try out the new mobile 6.5, so i tried it out on the "extra" phone. Anyway, it was unlocked and installed and it works great. So, i called Sprint to activate the phone so i could finally make the switch, but the activation codes never seemed to get my to the "secret" programming page for the sprint rep. Anyway, i figured it was because i was using hte custom firmware, so i ran nueSPL to relock it, then reflashed the firmware to the sprint stock mobile 6.1. Ok, that finishes and i try the codes again before calling sprint. Still doesnt seem to magically take me to another screen to activate it. Any ideas before trying to get a replacement? Im assuming i should have activated the phone before i did the custom firmware, but at the same time, i was going to switch the phones out until i knew it worked. =/

Re: Cant activate phone
if your talking about the ## numbers not bringing up the screen to enter that number sprint is giving you thats becasue your using an aftermarket dialer and not the firmware... you have to go to either start/settings/phone and choose windows default (if option there) or just flash back t stock (dont need to relock) and than activate than flash back to custom

Re: Cant activate phone
Thanks guys for your ideas and help, but As i mentioned, i flashed it back to stock (_HTC Mogul (Sprint)_RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_ 3.42.02_SPCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship) and it still doesnt work. I still have both phones actually, so nothing was sent in and then sent back to me. I have no custom dialer running or anyway to even switch the dialer (i dont think 6.1 has the option). Sprint thinks its defective and i need to send it back.

Re: Cant activate phone
did the mogul have this feature? the auto program? its not possible to be defective, it had to have been changed/reset...its simple to get if you just search for that MSL grabber

Re: Cant activate phone
You guys are making me feel like a retard, there is no "Update Profile" option in the system area or any settings area that i can find.
--------- New Post Merged on 31/7/2009 at 06:39:32 -------- Ok, so i found some post about running ##778#, which worked, but im not sure if thats the place the sprint rep was trying to get to or what. I tried that MSL grabber, but it didnt work, need to install a newer version of .net, but not sure if i still need to do it when the ##778# worked. --------- New Post Merged on 31/7/2009 at 07:05:38 -------- OK, so i go the MSL, which was the number they had already given me. BTW, after i got the msl number, i did the ##778#, then edit, type my MSL number there, hit ok, it did a soft reset. LOL, ok, so now when i do ##MSLNUM# they gave me, it works. Sweet. Thanks guys, im calling them now to activate it. Last edited by MACscr; 07-31-2009 at 08:05 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
