Screwed up after hard reset
First I must apologize, I am such a n00b when it comes to this stuff that it is almost embarrassing.
I installed a "slide to unlock" program on my Mogul and was happy with it until the phone started locking up on me (no pun intended). To make a long story short I ended up hard resetting my phone and now its screwed up. Once everything loads it appears to be fine. Then whenI power it down or the screen saver comes on I cant get it to come back on. I press the power button and nothing happens. The only way to get it to come back on is to remove the battery or soft reset it. Help? Please? |

I flashed it last night and it appeared to be working fine. When I woke up this morning it was doing the same thing. I changed the setting so that no buttons are locked.
Thank you all for your time and help! Any other thoughts? --------- New Post Merged on 9/8/2009 at 02:29:47 -------- Now it just seems to be either in a continuous reboot, or if I take the battery out it finish's booting up and then just locks up. I tried flashing it again, but haven't gotten anywhere. Last edited by ScottInTX; 08-09-2009 at 02:29 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

mmm thats correct... what i want you to do is the following:
1. download the newest rom from htc's site 2. once downloaded right click and extract the exe rom installer (mst have winrar or similar installed on pc) 3. take the .nbh file from that and rename it to exactly this including caps TITAIMG.nbh (dont need to add .nbh to the end, if yo do wont work) 5. take a storage card 2 gigs or under and format it to FAT32 ( this will delete everything on the card so back it up on your desktop by clicking and dragging if needed) 6. once card is formatted drag the nbh file to the freshly formatted card. 7. place the card in the phone and than place the device into manual bootloader by presisng and holding the power/camera buttons while soft resetting) 8. follow the steps on the screen of the device and wait for the flash to complete. once it says 100% complete and says successful soft reset. let the phone boot up and let all the customizations run. once the device soft resets itself i want you to hard reset the device (by pressing and holding the two buttons with dots and soft resetting at the same time) 8. now unlock or relock your device. 9. if you relock your device directly after you reset the device unlock it again and than let it boot and flash the custom rom of choice 10. if you unlock do this and than flash your custom rom (if you want custom) that should do it.... let me know how that works for you |
