yeah its XT its working on my TP2 but its just the base maps I have used the keygen for the maps and installed them but they dont show up on my phone

ok, doesn't show up in explorer or using the app??? if you download the unlocked map from linksave, its the whole US unlocked and will overwrite the basemap, thus giving you the entire country. however, its a 1gb file so make sure you have a larger sd card. but, no need to update when you travel. :)

It doent show up on the app just the base map. I had to leave the house I will try that when I get home. I'll post the results thanks for the hetlp

this should take you to the unlocked base map. one you download, move the iso to the garmin folder on your sdcard

So I might have confused you I dont need the base map It is on the GMXT app. I unlocked the city navigator north america NT map with the key gen copy the gmapsupp.unl file to the SD card. It shows on the card but when I load GMXT it don't get any new maps. The base map is the only one there. Im working on downloading that map from linksave. I hope it works I'd like to have the whole US map. I found this and I know its for the PC version but my phone says SOFTWARE UNIT ID not DEVICE ID but GMXT seems to run and tracks me fine.

This is what I read ---> If you managed to start this software in Trial Mode, you won't see any "Device ID" in your Settings -> About page You will find a kind of "Software Unit ID" instead and you CANNOT GENERATE an unlock code for it!!! If this is your case, close down GMPC, then go to C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Garmin\GarminMobilePC and delete its content. The proceed from Step 2.

Anyone else phone say the same thing?

by just installing the baseamap you get nothing on the display but your car icon. there are no maps loaded yet. you have to load maps to the sd card. if you have unlocked the whole usa maps on your pc, you should be albe highlight the maps you want then transfer them to the sd card. teh link save will eventually give you the whole usa unocked. i'm running it right now w/o any issues.

go into teh garmin folder on your sd card adn delete the sw.unl file and run garmin again. select the 4th option, connect to a gps device, cancel teh search for the gps, goto tools/settings/downarrow to about/ select about and you will see your card id.

Update I installed that 1 gig map to my sd card today and then opened up GMXT and finally I have the detailed map of the US. Everything is working now but if for some reason it stops I will uninstall that sw.unl file and reinstall Garmin. Maybe because I just had the software unit ID thats why the other maps didn't work but sense that 1 gig map did I'll leave it alone for now. I can't thank you enough PsyChoTK for the help.

the sw.unl file is the serial number for your card. if you delete it, you have to generate another one and drop it into the garmin folder. also there is a map id .txt file. my map id is 425. i can't say if it will help but drop the attached txt in the garmin folder and let me know if it works.

make sure you have a map .unl file as well check this thread for instructions i posted just before/ and after this one

this is the program...the other is the maps you need for this program...

yes thus why he said you will need both.... one is the program and the other is the maps that you will need...... both parts need to be present to get this to work
