Default hooking up headphones on vogue

i have a vogue with the newest nfsfan rom. i cant seem to get headphones to work on it.. am i doing something wrong? i have a mini usb to 2.5 jack, but my headphones are 3.5 so i went to the store and bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter and pluged it in and nothing. ive tried plugging it in to a couple of different headphones and nothing works. both adapters are brand new.

anyone got any ideas?

you might want to check to make sure that the adapter is stereo... i know it doesn't seem right, but i've had issues before when an adapter wasn't stereo and no sound would come out.

Best thing to do would be eliminate factors... try and find some cheap headphones with a 2.5 mm and see if you get any sound out of the adapter. that way you know if it's the mini usb adapter or the 3.5 mm that is giving you the problems... or the phone.
