[UPDATES] Rumor Alert: New Image of HTC LEO NEW VID 19/09

We have a new image that may show that the HTC Leo could turn out to be a slider phone instead of the popular rumor floating around about the return of the clamshell design.

This rumor comes hot off the presses, direct from a PM sent to me through our forum, from HTCPedia member Football. Though the member hasn't posted anything on our forum, they have sent over some specs on the HTC Leo that match what we've heard through the rumor mill.

The photo, however; is in stark contrast to the images we've seen showing the Leo as a clamshell phone. Since we have no other information matching this claim, we can't prove this true or false, so you'll have to be the judge on this one. Below is the message I received from our member:

We're a bit surprised by this, but the Leo is also expected to ship with a 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM 8250 processor which would make it HTC's fastest and most powerful handset to date. A 5mp camera will be accompanied by an LED flash, 512MB ROM, 320MB RAM, and 1230 mAh battery. HTC will also be including a S-sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and that coveter 3.5mm headphone jack for all the music junkies out there.
From what we see here, the HTC Leo is turning out be one of the most exciting HTC handsets in a while (ok, I'm still wishing I had the HTC Hero, but a 1Ghz processor in a phone can make anyone change their mind). It's still way to early to speculate on pricing, but expect the HTC Leo to hit store shelves in Europe some time before the holiday season.

Earlier leaks of the HTC Leo, a high end replacement for what is thought to be the Touch HD, has been confirmed. The Windows Mobile handset will be sporting some serious specs, and will also be known as the HTC Pro.Three.

The device is geared at the multimedia enthusiast. Earlier leaks reveal these specs:

Other niceties include a gigantic 8-megapixel resolution camera with autofocus, G-sensor accelerometer, motion sensor, and light sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, micro SD expansion, and a Snapdragon processor for 1 GHz of power. (Leo leak)

its about time that started making devices like this with those stats.... they could have done a lil bit on the internal memory and the ram but im digging that they fixed the sow processor troubles.

i still dont feel we have seen the iphone killer and never will unless it is made by apple themselves.... you have the fanboys that wont leasve mac for nothing which is good, i liek the competition but like wm and palm in the past have seen, you can have your turn on te top but it wont last forever.... i feel the true iphone killer is already out there and is sitting below the radar in android.

in the ifrst post it states will be released with 6.5 and if im not mistaking i read somewhere that most of the beginning phones released with 6.5 will be upgradeable to wm7 when released if the hardware allows for it.... and the hardware sure as hell seems that it will..... so we can only keep our fingers crossed that the devices will and that wm7 doesnt suck ballz cause we havent truely seen it yet.... just rumors of what it could like like.... i hate how it gets all hyped up, people expect too much in a short period of time, as long as the keep maing it better without huge gaps inbetween i as a consumer will be happy....

The processor is going to give the Leo a lot of power for apps but the battery is smaller than the Hero. It going to be a power hog.

man after playing with my wifes hero, ihave to say that this looks to be my next phone but what would be nice is to have a track ball like the hero, as easy as the capasitive touch screen is to use the tack ball made it great...

Ok so I just got done watching this movie called.....Ohh you guys seen it already HTC LEO well anyway the screen is huge and the phone overall looks nice. Seeing someone else work with the phone is cool but it is always different when yoiu get it in yoiur own tow hands. Can't wait for it to hit my doorstep
