[UPDATES] TouchLockPro version 275 UPDATES 29/09

There are already a lot of applications to disable touchpanel and/or hardware keys for the Touch Diamond and Pro. I added the next step of improvements on top of StylusLock.

A problem with StylusLock is that you cannot unlock the phone one-handed. However, the Touch Diamond and Pro has some hidden feature in it, namely a capacitive touch sensitive area above the hardware keys. This area will not react on e.g. stylus touches, but will detect finger touches.

This is demonstrated in a Youtube video, showing the HTC's Nav Debug Tool. I made a proof of concept CapacitiveFingerLock (with source code).

I make this new capacitive feature available with this new *FREE* TouchLockPro software. You will get the best of two worlds, using triple touch to unlock the phone in combination with Stylus(BattC)lock v1.6. And most important of all, it does not consume extra battery and CPU as often other Lock/Battery solutions do! TouchLockPro is very small, written in C++. When the phone is in sleep, it does consume NO CPU/battery by TouchLockPro. The program is written with efficiency in mind, totally event driven and no polling, also when the phone is on!

Great to have *ANY* application locked
You do not accidentally press touchpanel/hardware buttons anymore, so you can put the phone safely in your pocket. Examples:
* TouchFlo3D or any other Today Screen
* GPS applications (Google Maps, Tom Tom, IGO8, OziExplorer)

* Music player, Camera, Opera
* Incoming call

* With Bluethooth headset still incoming calls can be answered, although it is locked.

* Consumes no CPU cycles (only in case of an Capacitive/Stylus/Power event, no polling). Check it with a Task Manager!!
* Clock and battery percentage indicates Locked/Unlocked, pressing the indicator enables "lock mode"
* Triple touch the capacitive hardware area at the same location to unlock
* Use Stylus for locking/unlocking
* Unlocked when on AC or USB power
* Vibration when changing to locked when the screen or backlight is off T8
* Go to Suspend when locked and the backlight goes to off
* Possibility to overrule default behaviour

How to install?
* Deinstall the previous version of other locking programs (e.g. StylusLock, Answerkey disabler, SensorLock, S2U2)
* Copy the TouchLockPro.x.y.CAB file from your computer to the Touch Diamond or Touch Pro Memory card
* Go via the explorer of the Touch Diamond or Touch Pro to the location where you copied the .CAB file and click on it to start installation
* Advice is to install it to the Phone memory and not to the Memory card, TouchLockPro is very small and so it also works in "DiskDrive" mode

What does it do?
* There are 2 modes, "lock mode" enabled and disabled }

- Mode 1 - enabled - stylus in = phone locked
- Mode 2 - disabled - stylus in = phone not locked
* In fact mode 2 permits not to use the lock functionality, in order to use your fingers on the touchpanel and hardware buttons, rather than the stylus.
* You can enable "lock mode" by pressing the BattClock
* You can disable "lock mode" by triple touch the capacitive hardware area at the same location within 3 seconds
* You can toggle the "lock mode", by taking OUT the Stylus and putting it back IN within 1 second
* On boot/reset it will be always unlocked and "lock mode" is disabled
* It will always be unlocked, when the Stylus is OUT
* It will always be unlocked, when on AC/USB power
* It will always be unlocked, when the program is exited (deinstalled or stopped via Programs
* In "lock mode" enabled, putting the Stylus IN and on battery-power, the touchpanel and all hardware keys will be locked
* In "lock mode" enabled, when switching to battery-power and the Stylus is IN, the touchpanel and all hardware keys will be locked
* Vibrate when switching to locked with the backlight off or screen off

How to lock?
Prerequisite: Stylus is IN, not on AC/USB power
* pressing the BattClock
* take OUT the Stylus and putting it back IN within 1 second

How to unlock?
* triple touch the capacitive hardware area at the same location within 3 seconds (the number of valid touches at the same location are shown instead of the battery life percentage
* take OUT the Stylus
* attach to AC/USB power tP-

Some considerations for the "lock mode"
* Choose your "lock mode", by using one of the methods above
- e.g. if you want to put the TD in your pocket, enable "lock mode"
- e.g. if you have your TD lying on the table, disable "lock mode"
- e.g. you can also use always the "lock mode" when your are fine to take out the stylus for unlocking (you do not need to operate the Power button anymore) or triple touch the capacitive area

How to go to sleep mode immediately AND locking the phone when in "lock mode"?
Press the Power button with the Stylus OUT and insert the Stylus. You will feel a vibration when the phone gets locked. In this way you do not rely in the Windows settings for going to sleep, it will go to sleep immediately.
