I was promised free touch pro

Well I had an idea.. I dont know how Sprint's TEP works exactly.. But I know I have it.. (I do know a lot about Sprint but still...).. If I just swapped my Touch for another Touch and then sold the brand new phone on ebay.. then used that money to buy a used Touch Pro and then activated it.. Could I swap that for a new Touch Pro from them? Or would they not let me since I didnt buy it from them? Or would they even know I guess is my question.. My guess would be that they would not really know the difference?

How many phones do you have on your account? Check with sprint to see if any are elgible for upgrade. I had one CSR tell me my daughters phone was elgible for the $150 upgrade, and she could apply it to my line to get a pro (this is when i was calling about my mogul issues). I don't know how this is possible since my daughters phone/line has only been active for 5 months but i wasn't going to argue. I still haven't taken that offer, they are sending me another mogul since the first refurb the sent me last week had a partially non functional keyboard.

Yes, I would assume so. But since i'm only 5 months in(this time around after re-upping), it doesn't seem too big of a deal to me. But my daughter's line is a third add on for my account so it is probably treated separate as far as the contract is concerned. I don't think it would extend all of my phones......you know, I'm really not sure how they do that.

Tried that route too... I have 4 lines actually.. I have been with Sprint for 7 years as well

One of my lines has an upgrade (has not been upgraded for 2 years) and then they never mentioned applying the credit towards a Touch Pro.. They said maybe I could activate it on that line and then switch it.. But then they informed me I wouldnt get the rebate so I said screw that.. But can I apply the discount to my line instead?
...If I get a new Touch I am not messing with any refurbs..
But yeah.. I could get a new Touch.. Sell it.. Apply the credit on the upgrade to my line and buy a TP :)

Yes its a 150 if its 2 years.. no it will not extend all your lines just that one and yes its treated separately because again it will not extend all phone lines just the one you upgrade on :)

First off, you should get the rebate and the $150 credit on your line that hasn't been upgraded. I did that to get my mogul when they were on sale for $199... not to mention sprint had also sent me a coupon in the mail for $50 off any phone at that time since my contract was ending so I got it for $149.99

Another option is to add ANOTHER line to your account, if you don't mind an additional 9.99 monthly charge on your account and have your # moved over to it(and features) and then you would have a back up line i suppose. This was another thing that the same CSR tried to talk me into when I was trying for the touch pro swap. Had to give her credit, she was trying to help me out in the only way she was allowed. But that is when i found out they were no longer doing the pro swap.

I got a call from Sprint right after I posted a thread on Wckediden. It was a rep asking if I was satisfied with my all around service. I made something up and said that my phone had been dropping calls since I upgraded. I don't know if I just got special treatment...but what happen was:

She transferred. I told the tech that my Touch had been dropping calls everywhere but I didn't care until it dropped a business call. She said she would send out another Touch to me. I took Dash's advice and pressed for a new phone. The tech agreed. THEN I asked nicely that since im going to get a NEW phone anyways if I could get the "upgraded version". She placed me on hold and said, "Sure, you just have to pay the overnight shipping of $14." I was like HELLS YEAH!! Then I acted stupid and asked if it was the keyboarded version (I mentioned that I didn't like texting on Touch).....

She said, "I am sorry sir, I would be more than happy to but the Touch Pro is currently out of stock (mother-f^$#%ing arrgg!!). I do have the Touch Diamond prepared to ship to you, is that ok?"

I was soo dissapointed but I didn't want to rock the boat anymore and lose an oppertunity (even if she left notes, like dash said, other reps wont swap for shit!). Now I have a TD and a spare Touch. The TD is very nice, but the TP is nicer. I plan to call Sprint back and tell them I still do not like the texting on the TD and if I could swap into a TP that I originally asked for. Even if it doesn't work out, I think I still did good. Wish me luck!

Some stats; I'm abusing SERO $30 and extended my contract last August for another 2 years unti 2010 (that would total 4 years.) I don't know if thats a factor.

I am literally onthe phone with springt now and it took me 2 minutes to get a free touch Pro it's going to be in my hands in 10 business days.. i was nice i didnt even say too much just said ive had the mogul for a while and had to swap it out a few times and that i really dont wanna leave and i have four lines and all that... and i small talked about the snow and he was laughing and all dat.. so within 2 minutes he shipping me out my free touch pro.. but ive been with them since the i 1000 was hot.. like 10 years tho.. but it's all worth it.. it was truly easy.. i appreciate all you guyses help foreal..

also state that you feel the way you have been treated isnt how a company should treat their customers. say if i was with any other provider after 9 phones they would have offered me a swap for something different since i had to go through all the time of waiting for the new phones, being on the phone, travelling and that your jsut sick of it...... just play the biggest guilt trip that you can :>

mannn this morning was crazy. i was on the line with sprint for almost 2 hours this morning. they would just not budge. i told them that i asked for a TP since the beginning and they said that since the td and tp are diff phones that they could not process a swap.

i spoke to 3 moronic reps, 1 head moron (supervisor) and 1 retentions (she was a real d!ck!). she kept on saying that the best they could offer me is the new customer price (like $300 then 100 back in rebate or some crap) and to send back the td and get reimbursted my shipping back (14$). she kept on avoiding my points and repeated the same shit over and over again. i told them that was not fair. that i should be given a tp like i wanted and to take back the td EVEN.

in the end, the rep spoke to a second retentions (supposedly) and said that the person who offered me the td in the first place would be emailed and contact me back by wednesday to resolve this.


I don't know what to do next!! I told them that if i dont get a call back by wednesday that I will be calling back wanting my goddamn pro LOl.... I think I should take this up with ecare or you think I should retry calling back wed?

I think you should call back if you do NOT get a call back.. Wait a little bit.. Cool down... I think it will be easier if you wait a couple days and see if they call back if they dont then just call

the way i got a td i got to keep my vogue. ill probably use it, i guess, as a back up or activate it on another sero lines of mines.

tomm is the big day.. if i this fails ill b ok with the td. i just hope i get a hell-of a deal or an even trade. im not paying anything over $100.

You would have to be really persuasive and get to retentions.....it is based on revenue....if you have four lines and bring in a lot of money for them....and threaten to leave when ur contract is up, u might have some luck.....but u really need to explain why the mogul isn't doing what it is supposed to....due to factory defects or something

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to get a swap for the HTC Touch Pro phone because I am having a lot of issues with my HTC Touch such as freezing while trying to answer calls, text message lagging and screen becoming unresponsive while typing to the point where I have to restart my phone to make it work again, Random freezes while running nothing at all, Have to restart multi times a day for it to work correctly, The worst is the freezing while trying to answer calls especially if it is a work related call.
I also had these problems with my Mogul that I had before this, and before that I had 6 Q9c's and they ALL had problems plus having dust inside them and I took them to a repair center and the tech said to replace them because the dust will get inside and mess up the hardware to the point where it will totally break the phone so I havent gotten a working phone and I have just dealt with this because I didnt wanna go threw the trouble of exchanging yet again but now it is to the point where I need a new phone and I was wanting the HTC Touch Pro because it has a hardware keyboard so I shouldnt have all these freezes while texting so much.

I went to a sprint store to try and get a newer vogue (mines is scratched up on the sides) and told them that my phone has always been dropping calls. Then maybe a week or so ago I got a courtesy call from sprint (arent i lucky?) asking if i was enjoying service or if I had any problems. What happen was basically in this order:

Dropping calls, horrible store service, rep/tech/retentions/whomever it was apologized, "can I get a new phone and not a refurb?", "can i have the updated version of the touch?", only paid overnight shipping of $12/14.

And now I have a TD and a spare Vogue. It just sucks that they were out of stock of TPs (and I think they still are). I will give getting a TP another try and see what happens once they are back.

Oh and btw, I have TEP on my plan. I'm guessing it helps if you have complete insurance.

Yep they have :)

They charge me every month about 3 bucks for a game on a phone that is my mom's on our plan.. she doesnt even know how to download a game.. and the game is NOT on her phone but we pay for it.. its been happening for like months... its racking up lol
finally i got the game charge off by going into the content manager on her phone and it said we payed for it but we didnt and we have told them but yeah.. so thats a mistake because we didnt do it.. its a huge one... but lets see.. they have messed up a LOT of times but usually i just call and they take it off.. like there was a data charge for 70 bucks on a line that had unlimited data and the lady told me i would be fine using data the day i took the plan off (before i took it off) and then i got charged...
oh and i have had 6 bad Moto Q's all with dust inside that the tech said to even swap out because it will mess up the processor if it gets deep inside.. before they gave me my Touch because of it...
Umm... They took picture mail off my account without asking me once.. (We got them to take my data bill in half.. and they said I would not loose features but instead they took off TV, Pic mail, and Music store without telling me)

You know whats funny after I was reading back through all of these. I can tell you it is all who you get on the line (In retentions Dept.) Because I had to call in 4 times and state my cause over and over again. The first three were saying just what everyone else was getting told.

After I got the fourth rep, I got a young gal, and I kind of hit on her (Now I know it sounds dumb, but when someone likes you more, and you arn't just another dick customer, and you treat them with respect, and say I know this isn't your fault but I am so frustrated (with whatever this situation is), then they are WAY more willing to do things for you.) Anyways, kind of hit on her or whatever you want to call it, played it cool, asked her where the calling center was out of that she was at, and after a short talk on that, I said hey listen what can you really do for me?

She said well the TP is still back ordered, and then she said BUT......RIGHT then I interrupted her and was like she is willing to do it! So I jumped on it and said you know what if you can tell me I will be getting something diff. from what I have now, and all I have to do is wait a week or two even, then I am willing to wait. She said ok, and ran the order through. I didn't even have to pay for shipping.

So play it cool, and be respective to the REP. and don't give up on the first try either..
