Hey Dash, sorry to bother u, but I was searching on Wckediden and didn't find any guide to flash an Apache. I found a radio update and a rom, but was wondering if there was unlocker out there or maybe a quick tutorial. Thanks in advance.

PS. I know what ur thinking, why I would even want to learn how to flash this dinosaur......i gave one to my sister for christmas....LOL

3. drag the nbh file into the diamond RUU (most come with RUU already)

is the nbh file in the download of the rom and is the diamond ruu folder part of the rom download also if not were would it be located

what? the ruu is a seperate folder if your using juicy it comes with the ruu already...... if its only the nbh than you need theruu if you have something called romupdateutility.exe than just run that

i got hardspl so now im assuming u have to flash the phone with that first b4 u do the rom upgrade(juicy) if that is rite then wut nbh file is dragged into the ruu folder im srry to bother u bro but im trying to learn and yur directions r great but to a novice its not as easy as the 4 steps until u learn it thanks for having patience

bro its all in the tutorial theres not much more i can say you unlock and follow the steps it tells you to a T... than since your doing juicy download the newest rom open that up and run the romupdateutility.exe by double clicking and follow the steps and your done :> its really not bad at all bro..... tell me if this way of explaining it is better for you.

than you need to unlock still...... use the diamond unlocker as the tutorial suggests for the diamond and you will be fine and ready to flash to a custom rom.....

hope this is the right place but i have a carrier named bluegrass cellular theyre located here in bowling green ky and i have an htc 6800 with the 2.17 rom. i would like to upgrade but the update to 3.56 would not work for me. if u have any idea of what i might b doin wrong or know any roms i could update to any help would b great

you need to unlock your phone using the unlocking tool you will find linked in the tutorial.

alright i d/l the unlocker and the exit bootloader. i ran the unlocker and then installed the alltel rom from the htc site. it loaded up the white htc screen instead of the usual black and then the wm6.1 screen and everything was fine but when i start loading my apps from my storage card it locks up. soft reset boots up like normal but then shows no signal and nothin works. hardware buttons or touchscreen. i really need to update the rom bc the rom i had was 2.17 and the radio was like 1.14 but i also want my old apps to run. any ideas or maybe a differentrom that would be better? thx and sry for the long reply

hope im not screwing up the thread but i might have found problem but dont know how to fix. when i soft reset the evdo network shows up instead of the rA network that the alltel rom uses. i was able to transfer a couple of themes to my device but when i install the htc home and try to apply it inthe settings menuthats where its freezin up.

It may have something to do with the fact that you have Bluegrass carrier, and you loaded an Alltel ROM. you generally want to use the same carrier ROM

I would def get away from the alltel ROM because i think that's causing problems... and probably causing problems that you can't see going on. idk if you'll be able to find one for Bluegrass but for now, i'd go back to the stock. i'm hoping that doesn't break/ mess up your phone because you're probably downgrading from the Alltel

You'll have to search for an unbranded Mogul ROM. Here is Kaos' Hybrid take 5 ROM for the Mogul>>> https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=173087

I searched a bit and couldn't find a Bluegrass ROM. I think they're just so small of a company that they're not going to have ROM support. you're basically shit out of luck from what I see :(

i updated to the sprint 3.56 rom and i couldnt connect to the internet. it kept tryin to connect thru sprint pcs i guess thats y it doesnt work. my network is called blueworks. i have unlimited data plan but it does no good on sprints ntwk. obviously. any ideas on how to get back to my original rom would be appreciated. im tryin the quest rom from the htc site now..

there is no way to get back to the rom unless you find someone or someplace that actually has the rom....

my friend has the same phone and the same carrier. is there a way to flash or save his rom to a computer and then to my phone. if so will i need to relock or unlock. i think its unlocked right now and i have the qwest rom. i flashed like four different roms from the htc site tryin to make somethin work.

you will have to do a rom dump and than after you do a rom dump would have to know how to build that into a exe file.

nbh is jsut the file type that you need to flash... its basically the rom itself and all the goodies...... yeah you could try that nad they would be able to explain a rom dump better than me since i dont have a stock mogul on me.

my carrier is bluegrass cellular. its in bowling green ky. phone is htc 6800. they told me they usually use generic software. im using an alltel rom right now but it sucks. its the one off the htc site. it doesnt show one for bluegrass tho

there prolly isnt an update through the provider.......... i will continue to search google and see what i can find for you but no promises.... stock roms for the big companies like verizon (no update on htc.com) took us forever to get working aslo. have you tried to go to the store and see if they could get it reflashed for you? just make up some bs and say that you were updating the radio and the ****er went psyco...... or if worse comes to worse you can always claim through insurance if you have it.

Ok so if i have the rom that is built in it when i bought it, i dont need a updated one ? cause my phone works fine, so them flashing it will just put it back to factory specs ? or them doing that will up grade it to something new ?

custom roms are more stable, faster, have more memory (free) and some other perks included :>

it would take me forever and i dont have the time for it with everything else i have on my plate...... just use google and you will be able to find out how to do so no troubles.... or you can talk to colonel over at ppcgeeks and he might be able to help you out.

please post in the correct areas, this has nothing to do with flashing roms...... the touch aka vogue is what your phone is called since you are cdma through either sprint, verizon, or alltel.

Hey guys, I'm FINALLY going to flash off this stock rom trash.... I've been trying to read up on everything before I get I started. I want to go to Kaos take 5. But, I am confused on the whole radio thing.

I have 3.35... radio. So do I have to update the radio first or will it be updated as part of the custom rom?

I can't find a link to just update radio (which I don't even know if you can just update radio) so I don't know where to read up on this...

ok you have to unlock, flash the rom and than you can do the radio... (yes you will want to update since the new radio is better) the radio is in the ifrst or the second post on the take 5 thread and you can flash via sd card like explained in this thread.
