Alright...lemme make sure i get this right so i dont screw up my computer again. Do I just download the crapload of files...pick which version...and install? Upon install what about a product key? Lastly...will this be genuine and able to be updated? I kno I am a hassle. I think the army did it to me.

you burn the iso imaqge file onto a disc liekthe description says using an iso image writer and than you use the serial/keygen included to register.

Will the updates be accepted? With the version I am running now....I am running updates over and over again....plus there are no drivers. Do you recommend switching to this retail or sticking with the other vista ultimate (cd version)?

bro its personal preferece i use vista ultimate i dont know what version i used and all from here but all i did was burnthe iso file and to a disc than ran and followed the steps and came with everything needed including drivers and no serial requested.

Thanks D/\SH, you wouldnt believe my luck. So the day of this post I had gotten a box of parts from NewEgg to build my new computer but I just refused to spend what MS wants for a new OS. Planned on getting one here and was working on it but jesus man with a free rapidshare acct it takes forever and a day. So the next day I spent the afternoon putting my new PC together and once I got it up and running I was at a loss on what to do, I was still like 13hrs from finishing this DL, and really wanted to get up and running. As a last ditch effort I asked my wife's friend across the street and dude kicked me down a legitimate copy of Vista Ultimate 64 I was and still am in shock about my luck. Glad to be hooked back up and back floating around Wckediden and glad to see the best site on the net is still going strong. You know I absolutely refuse to pay for website access, but this one I do it gladly so it was not fun kicking around without a computer for 4 months.

I have had laptops for like the last 10 years and was so sick of having a hot ass laptop on my lap, and never having quite enough power for games all that shit. I was so ready to build a desktop, funny how us tech guys are though, this thing isnt 2 weeks old and I am already pricing Phenom II x4 processors because a dual core just isnt enough. One of those phenoms and a radeon 4870 instead of the 4830 and it will be on and poppin, hell I started this build with 4gb of ram and immediately after build and setup jumped right back on newegg and ordered another 4gb. now I gotta have a better processor and vid card to match the 8gb of high performance ram, makes perfect sense right? Once i do all that I will have to get a blueray drive to match the performance of the computer, and so on and so forth, if the wife *****es about price I will just remind her that it beats my old hobby, sitting in a bar til odd hours of the night.
