1. To check your iphone version, dial *3001#12345#* on the iPhone. It will show you: Versions -> Firmware version, if it says "03.14.08_G", then the iPhone is version 1.0.2. You're fine. Go to step 2.

If it says "03.12.06_G" (version 1.0.0), then restore iPhone to the version 1.0.2 first through iTunes.( Press and hold "HOME" + "Power" button on the iPhone for 30 seconds until "connect to iTunes message" shows up. Holding "SHIFT" key and click iTunes' restore button and choose file: "iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw". If you don't have the file, you can download :

ok, coz i friend of mine selling his iphone coz his getting the new 3g, im thinking of buying it from him and unlockng it with this prog so i can use it overseas. do i have to have any other app for this or, its as simple as what it says on the descriptions?

as long as you dont have a 3-g it will work without troubles... i used this to unlock and jailbreak over 200 iphones for customers and buddies.

that is unnecessary, yea layout is different but all instructions remain the same, all it take is time to read and follow directions.
