resco radio v1.71 not installing

hey guys....love the new mods and videos!
i downloaded this file from dash's 11/05 post about 12pm (cuz there's two other threads in the application downloads) and tried installing the radioen_s.arm.sp.cab file first and it said.."it was unsuccessful. the installation file is not intended for this device." then i tried the other file..aacdecoder_s.arm.cab and that installed fine (btw, i dont know what this cab file is for?).

not sure why it would say that but is it working or is it not? because if it works fime thats all that matters right lol

what up dash,
no...i cant even install the cab file, radioen_s.arm(im assuming this is the MAIN file for the program). :sad6:

the other file is very small (aacdecoder) and that installed fine but i dont know what that is for. it just creates a resco folder on the device but its empty. im guessing its not gonna work w/o the main cab file.

i noticed you have 3 threads of the same program in the applications downloads. i know one is not for wm6. do you think the links got mixed up in the threads.

would be awesome if this worked.

i have a solution to all this which i ddi with no problems if you install the resco keyboard go to update then it will give you a whole bunch of apps to download form resco form your ppc install the radio part and then use the key gen that dash supplied and it'll work.

hey elboriyorker, thanks for the info... BUT i downloaded like you said but the main thing now is how to activate the trial version w/the keygen bc it didnt work?

i tried going into register now in the program and has the registration form....1.owner info (which i cant change bc by default it puts the info i have on my phone) and then 2. code (this is where i put the keygen serial number that came w/the file i downloaded from this site and press ok....and then states error..."the code does not match w/this Owner name.....etc.

am i doing something wrong? i also noticed in the keygen file, it states resco radio v1.5

there are two separate keygen for each programs one for the keyboard and one for the radio,you must use it seperated in order for it to work . You can't use the same keygen for the same product.

lol...of course i understand that. i did try putting in the keygen provided to the designated program....didnt work for the keyboard or the radio. i did exactly like you said. the serial codes for both programs are very short (just sayin cuz generally serial numbers are quite long) but like i said before...i did notice when i click to open the radio keygen, it states it for VERSION 1.5.
and its funny how the program automatically puts in your username from your phone and wont allow you to edit it.
any suggestions?

you can edit the name it adds what you have on your phone already. all you have to do is go to settings/personal/owners information/ and than change it add the serial and than change it back to what you had when you are done with that.... hope this helps.

installation for the radio_pocketgear.exe file went well..BUT..LOL..aw man...sorry but the keygen file, when i double click on it (wether my phone is connected or not to the PC), i get ".NET Framework Initialization Error"...stating... "to run this application, you must first install one of the fiollowing versions of .net framework: v.2.0.50727"

does this have anything to do on my part? i remember downloading on my touch a cab file...hhc.netcfv2.wm.armv4i.cab. is that what the error is asking for??? not sure if its the same thing.

any chance you can provide the keygen for this particular file...im assuming i need a different owner name other than my own bc when i try to register, the program asks me to put in the owner info on my phone.

forgot to mention this keygen is a .exe file....im assuming i had to install it the same way as any other .exe file but it didnt work.

run the keygen on your pc not the phone.

i did run it from my pc (w/o phone plugged in to the pc and then plugged in via active sync) but i never ran it from my phone.

nope that same instruction i gave you i did it to mines and it worked flawless.something you doing is wrong, back track to see what you did wrong

you can also try to insert justt eh first section of what dit spits out... i know thaty on some resco keygens you only need those... happened to figure that out since the first 5 digitss if im not mistaking were the same and i only needed them in the past so i tried it and it worked on the resco file explorer even though it spat more than that out at me... tell me if this help s you also otherwise do what elboriyorker said and backtrack since he tested and works fine.

hey guys,,,tried everything except i didnt understand what you meant DASH by...try inserting the first section of "what dit spits out".

yeah elboriyorker, i backtracked and did everything you told me to the tee and besides i dont think its that hard to enter a username and reg code. the only keygen i have is...name:Gelios / TSRh and serial: 10032. i tried putting in gelios in the phone owner info and tried Gelios/TSRh also. i have other problems before w/couple of other programs that other members had as well...so it cant be just be me.

great props for all your help but hopefully someone can provide working serial/username.

i also noticed now if you try editing the keygen..like taking out the spaces...the serial number changes. damn.

quick question...any suggestions on what to do about.... when i go back and change back my owner info and then i open up resco radio again, it automatically detects that i changed it and tells me im back to the trial offer.

i guess i cant have my cake and eat it too. i appreciate everyones input...this was such a long thread and i have to say you guys are very patient.

LOL, just change the name in the keygen to your user name in the device and it will generate a code for that name. Works like a charm...

Thanks D/\SH. I had an older version of this on my Axim X51v, but not the newer keygen.. Sucks that Demonoid is gone, had the best software for PPC.... But I like my new home :yahoo:
