Can someone pleeeease help me? Can you tell me where do I start first! I seen dash youtube video and I have to have it! Im no computer wiz nor would I like to be! I messed up and listen to the wrong people and screw my mogul up after a hard rest it still didn't work the same! Now i have a brand spanking new one i like to treat it with sum tender loving care!! Now do i have to unlock my phone and if i do what do that do! Yes i have been all over this forum and still can't get started! I guess im scared to put something on phone that will mess it up again but im willing to try with someones help!! so if there is anyone out there willing please invite to be your friend send a private message text page come to my house just help me LOL :connie_mini_hotairb lost someone please help me down!!!

Ok, please read this post thuroughly before downloading and installing anything!

First I'll recommand this program to easily soft reset your phone (like restarting a computer) after installing mods to ensure they work properly:

You'll need to download this HTC Home Customizer to start, follow the instructions in the post.

After installing the HTC Home Cust. put this file on your storage card and run it SdkCerts.cab

Next put this file on your storage card and run it
HTC Home 2.1 6-Tab

After these you should be good to go.

Quick recap:

0. Make sure when you run these programs to choose "Device" when installing. You can place their .cab files on your storage card then run them from File Explorer.

1. Install psShutXp for easy soft resets

2. Intall HTC Home Customizer (install but don't customize just yet!)

3. Install SdkCerts.cab

4. Install HTC Home 2.1 6-Tab

5. Perform a soft reset.

6. Customize and enjoy!

Warning: I recommend you read all threads posted in this post to make sure that you completely understand what you are about to do, ask questions you may have before installing! =D

ok i read and read now the first thread the one above dashes said i didn't have access! I haven't downloaded nothing until you answer back on that thread :buba_phone:! 2nd do i download these from my cell phone or my home computer?

if that link doesn't work. Go to the top left of the page click My Control Panel,
then on the left side there will be sub menus, second from the bottom will say
"Miscellaneous" under there you will find "Group Memeberships" from there select
"Member Software" and click join, you will have to wait until one of the
admins approves you.

2nd. putting the files you downloaded on your computer on your phone,
well there are several ways to go about this, but I'll explain the most basic way.

Your phone comes with a black cable that is USB to Mini USB, connect the
USB to your computer and the mini side to your phone, (I'm assuming you
already have active sync installed on your computer), once you connect the
two, active sync should pop up and establish the connection. Once complete
you can click "Explore" on active sync this should bring you into the phones
file system.

From here you should see a phone like icon (and some folders) named My Windows
Mobile-Based Device" Double click that, in there there should be
a folder named Storage Card (make sure your storage card is in your phone!)
in that folder you can drag and drop the files you downloaded.


And lastly to give someone thanks, on the bottom right corner of their post,
there are several little icons, saying Quote, Send PM, etc.. there is one there that says Thanks, just click that.

ok polar i did exactly what you said to do i first ask to join the member board waiting for dash to approve it. ok second i download the psshut.rar and i follow your instructions went to storgage card and drop and drag did a soft reset now i have a message saying..the file psshut.rar for mogul cannot be opend. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate,, or one of its components cannot be found. If the probelm persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

What do i do now? :009:

Ok what you need to do is extract the file thats inside the .rar file. By downloading the program called WinRar (its like WinZip if you are familiar with that)

On the winrar website, you don't need to buy it, on the left side there is a link called downloads, click that
then download the top one that says WinRar 3.17



after installing winrar on your computer (not your phone!)
on your computer open the psshut.rar
once open, it will look like this

now there are 2 .cab files in there, one will work on your phone and one wont,
I can't recall which one doesn't but you can put both on your storage card
then file explore and run them to see which one works on your phone.
(once install is complete you can delete the .cab files off your storage card)

Most all downloads you will get from this site are contained in .rar files,
you will extract the files within them to your computer and then
from your computer you will put them on your phone.

ok it install a hhcv10b5 on my phone as a cab i ran the cab did a soft reset what is it suppose to do? and when i ran the win rar it was asking where do i want to extact from alot of diffrent windows and other options did know where to go im sorry if im getting myself confused and being a pain in your butt! :40: this is harder then it seems!

ok im guessing it was the htc home customizer so i click on that it say You must have the HTC home plugin installed would you like to download and install it now? so i click on yes Now it say plugin was not installed please report this error! Dead End

ok i back track and played around i think i got it... the psshutxp_eng.vga.xscale is the one that works its has a little red button in my right hand screen on my phone is this correct it gives me the option to reset, shut down or light off did i do this right? ok the second one was a little computer with a moon on the screen i click on that one as well it didn't work so i deleted it.... now did i need that one too.... o is the psshut the one that stop running all programs that im not using where you can exit out on the home screen instead of going to setting...system... then memory or thats another program i need as well

ok after you answer all these questions lol!!! im ready to move on
so tell me the problem with the htc customizer or is that what im waiting for dash'em to approve?

the psshut is what allows you to soft reset the phone, it doesn't do anything with the memory like you were stating, its just a shut down/restart assistant program.


Go back to my second post and check those links again to see if you can go into those threads to download the rest of the programs.

and remember my quick recap in that post it tells you what to do.

nah the admins are busy they do ask for like 6-12 hours for the membership to be approved.

the waiting cursors i tried to download the dancing banana by tigerz but it wouldn't let me in there LOL im ban everywhere in here LOL just kidding!!! but if dash let me in i was wonder how do i install the wait cursor but i think i read it somewhere tho!

cause your not let in yet...your not in the private members group..You need to sign up for it and allow 12/24 hrs to be approved....the link is above main shoutbox on main page...says private members.click it sign up.then you get the cab put on storage card..click pick install device and your done...

Polar thanks for follow up with me, well since the last time we type LOL i've found the flo_something and the cube thing but its working but it only give me one page for the contacts and everytime i log my phone on the flo thingy say it;s running. I got the pocket cm working(was wondering if theres something i can do to change the color for the pocket cm and add some type of icons for the ones i don't have pics for?) I have the big clock and the task manager that close out the apps. i can't install the audio manager its a zip don't know how to unzip in my phone or where to put it! well that's it for now on that! o and i have the htc album downloaded too sweet!!!!:40:

you have not join the membership yet. i check daily for new membership to be approve.I suggest you follow polar or kaos advice on how to join otherwise you are stuck...

you need to go down the list in the second post and install the next two files to your phone to get the plugin. the customizer just allows you to change the appearance.
