New HTC Mogul Customer

I have been doing some reasearch and have some questions for you (if you don't mind answering them). I have been looking at several sites & forums and there are sooooooooo many programs/versions out there... I want to make sure to install the proper programs...

I have seen the following applications:
HTC Home
HTC Phone Dialer
HTC TouchCube
HTC Action Screen
Contact Manager
and many, many more....

then I saw that you had the Ultimate Launcher on the Mogul... is this all I need? I just see so many programs/versions and then see postings about bugs/problems, etc... so I don't know what to install or in what order. It's confusing and any pointers will help.

I am really interested in having the Ultimate Launcher with the "cube" function on the Home Page - like you do. I believe I'd like to install Slide2Unlock2 (have you tried this version?). I think I'll need the HTC XButton, Phone Dialer and Contact Manager... or is this overkill... I guess my basic question here, is what essential installs should I make?

I just actually ordered my HTC Mogul yesterday and I was wondering if you actually have to open the keyboard to have the screen switch to landscape mode... is there a way to have it switch when tilting it?

it really falls down to your personal choices..I myself use quickmenu,ultimatelaunch,htc home htc customizer.As well as a few others....Here is basically my setup......

Also, when you view your pics, can you zoom, rotate, etc using your finger on the touch screen?

I am dying cuz i don't have my phone yet and i'm trying to educate myself before i get it so i can get it up to speed asap.

Should I try configuring my phone first before I sync it with Outlook? Is there any order I should follow?

yes he does have it installed. and on a side note you will need to have different programs downloaded to fill up ultimate launch otherwise there is no use of having it.

the xbutton get overwrote by quick menu since it has a better and more efficient task manager built into it.

on the mogul you cant do that on the pictures but you can use the camera album ripped and converted from the touch but it has to be opened from file explorer and doesnt auto open when you view pictures or under programs on your phone. https://www.wckediden.com/showthread...t=camera+album

no not really an order but i would recommend at least going to the newest official rom by sprint if you dont wanna try the WM6.1 rom rev a rom with gps.
