being cdma the imei number and esn are unique to the provider........ gsm are different since sim cards store all the info not the phones themselves.... the stores can do it for you but there isnt an app out on the black market so we can do it without the stores and the hassle of trying to convince them to do it since it takes a lil work and they are too lazy to do it and want you to buy there phones.

thats for the gsm version that takes a sim card.

o ok sorry about that so if i go to a sprint store they can unlock my phone to work with verzn i called sprint tech and said u cant use sprint phones anywhere else but sprint

they prolly wont do it but they can... they want you to buy the phone from them.

i did buy it from them just w
nt a differnt carrier now.....what do u say that usually will get them to unlock it.....also once its unlocked how do i get vrzn to turn it on i mean wont they know its not there phone and not want to turn it on

its really there choice and goes on store policy and all or if you get a nice sales rep to do it...... and they will turn it on and activate in the store... and you realize that the 15 data package you get through sprint costs 45 through verizon.
