cool cant wait to try. By the way have you ever had any overheating issues? I checked out their website and it said that sometimes it will overheat if you have the phone charging while routing and you have to wait 12 hrs. :( |

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
i personally never ran into the phone overheating to the point i had to wait for 12hrs. The phone does get above normal temp when pluged in and charging, but never overheated OR locked up!

I've cleared all wmwifi files that i could find on my phone, went into registry searchin around an seems like its all gone, so why is it still lookin for that file..??

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
This app is simply wonderful bro, I was using pdanet and left that as soon as I saw this. I got a question tho: I notice my internet sharing opens whenever I connect, is this normal? B/c if i hit disconnect in the internet sharing it just disconnects me from everything.
Also dash, I ws having some trouble configuring some options and I asked jew for help so I found this video on youtube and he describes how to configure everything in the simplest terms, so if you want you can add to 1st post also, wmwifiRouter |

Dont think it is possilbe as i have tried securing with both WEP and other methods. I had no luck ... it tell me when accessing the network from the pc to type the pw or secutity code in and no matter how simple a make the code, the computer doesnt accept it. If anyone knows if a way to secure please let us know.! Thanks!

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
to secure it just go to setting/connections/Wi-Fi and once your on it, click and hold on the name of your network and hit edit, after it will bring you to a page that says network name and connects to etc.... hit next, on this page is where you will go to where it says data encryption and select the drop down and select WEP, when you select WEP under that just type in the network key you want and hit next then finish and your set.
Now for my question: in the configure wireless networks page, we have to select only computer-to-computer, but the thing is that selection wont stay like that, when i exit out and use wmwifi and disconnect and then lets say tomorrow i want to use it again, and i open the config wireless networks page again just to check its set at only access points...does this happen to anybody or what? |

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
Can anyone verify if WMWifiRouter REQUIRES PAM (Phone as a modem), or does the mo cheap $15 Sprint PCS Vision (Data for phone only) works with this. I sure would like to take my phone bill down a notch.
All I've hear so far is "It should" instead of "it works on my $15 PCS Vision". I have been using my Sprint Mogul with WMWifiRouter for a few months now and I can tell you that phone gets so hot that the battery overheating protection causes it to stop charging and then drains the battery shortly afterward as a result. This happens on all four of my batteries even the HTC provided one. If I keep a fan on it or in a cool place... no problem. |

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
Hey, i read the whole thing and i am still wondering if you can install this on the vogue touch... I heard somewhere in some other thread of a Wifi microSD card that could work... I was wondering if something like an external bluetooth wifi antena(kinda like gps but for wifi) existed... I did a few search on google but my googling skills kinda suck 9 out of 10 times...
Thanks |

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
I took this progam to the test this weekend. Hooking up my PS3, Computer, and Xbox 360. Haven't found it to over heat. Just got warm. Battery lasted for about 3 or so, with the Wifi is constantly running. Xbox 360 works perfect. I Loged on, Downloaded content, and online play. Same with the PS3. Computer and streaming video works also. Very happy with the program, I'm even considering canceling my Cable internet subscription. As far as extra charges for sprint. i have unlimited data and everything. no xtra charge for turning it in to a modem.

Re: WMWifiRouter v1.01
Works Great. Key works without problems for me. No more need for that cable running from the computer and running into the problem of people not having ActiveSync installed for PDAnet. Thanks D/\SH. In the configuration do you need to select Phone as Modem, or Sprint PCS. Or, do you just simply leave it blank and let it connect however?

But as far as the wifi card is concerned, do you think the card does a similar job when compared to the mogul's built in wifi? Because i do use pdanet but i read in the thread that people seem to exprience a faster speed with wmwifirouter.... I wouldnt mind the swapping card between my microsd storage card and the wifi one... Thanks |
