Total newbie question... - Wckediden

Okay, so when it comes to smartphones, apparently I am a complete newbie. I'd like to think I have a good understanding of computers (software and hardware) since I have done programming and building in the past...but I must be completely overlooking something or was given wrong info...

Basically, I was told at the sprint store when I bought my new mogul that I would need to upgrade to rev A to get the added perks and benefits (gps, etc)...but I seem to already have sprint nav on my phone, and google maps pinpoints exactly where I am. So i went to upgrade it anyway from HTC's company distributed rom, and it has me using the same version of the rom as it wants to upgrade me to.

Do I already have rev A preinstalled on my mogul?

good chance that you do since they ar now releasing them with the rom. whats the rom number that you have. you can find this by going to start/settings/system/device information. it should be 3.35 and if it does you have EVDO REV A already

We just received a new shipment of moguls, all with the newest rom available from htc's website, this was about 2 weeks ago, so chances are, if you just got the mogul, it has sprint nav and rev a compatability
