Deleting a running program
hey guys, i wanted to know this simple question:
how do you shutdown/delete a running program (TouchFlo) ... here is the background story. i just finished outfitting my mogul to the upmost with a load of mods (thank you all) and all was well. i had it all good with mods and even the cube running, fine, but i thought that instead of booting up the TouchFlo each time i turn on the phone, i would just copy and paste it to the startup menu. now the cube does not boot up with any sliding motions. it does, although, boot up if i run the cube config app. when i try to delete the TouchFlo, it says that it can't because it is currently running; i figure from startup shortcut i made. so whew; there it is. i am really looking for a control-alt-delete for the mogul. yes iv'e already tried the task manager and deleting it from the start up menu, and almost everything else, but i cant even find it running or it wont let me delete cause its running from the get go. please help !! |

Re: Deleting a running program
quick menu has a task manager or you can use xbutton to close out. also after you unstuck it from the start menu did you do a soft reset?????? i would check that also.
holy-freakin-crap. that was a stupid-fast response to my post. i mean i JUST finished it and it was emailed to my account, then pushed to my phone... all in the last 5 mins. seriously you rock. but enough with the brown facing, i DID already use the quick menu's task manager and dont have the xbutton app. i mean even if i did, the TouchFlo doesnt have a xbutton to get out of it. ill make a vid of it or we can skype. LMK. and seriously, that was waay to fast. but appreciated. |

Re: Deleting a running program
well, i wasnt able to re-install over the old TouchFlo, but outta pure haphazardness (a word?), i cut and pasted the TouchFlo outta the startup menu and into another folder, then was able to soft reset, delete and reinstall a fresh version. but now my cube wont work anyhow, so im off to completely unistall and reinstall the whole thing.... thanks again so much man. you guys really do rock. i got some other quick questions that i dont think deserve to take up another thread:
1. what app/mods are able to be installed on my SD card and run on the phone just fine? 2. and im gonna make a vid of all my mods, but what can and cant i day about stuff like the xmmobitvresetter, and anything else? i wanna make it like right now. thanks again |

Re: Deleting a running program
well just look at it this way. apps that need to be ran on bootup like contacts, the cube, etc would be installed to the main memory. and games that dont need internet access or summtin similar to games would be installed to the storage card it you wanted to go that route. on all the customer phones i do and my phones personally i do it all to the main memory including games and still have the phones run like roadrunner.
