Lots of games but I need emulators!

Could anyone point me in the direction of some emulators I could use to play these games? I'm mostly interested in emulators for my phone(if available). Also, are the roms you can play on your phone the same that you'd get to play on your desktop?

I've got a playstation emulator(fpsece) but it wouldn't play a rom I downloaded.

Thanks for any help guys, and I've tried searching for emulators but nothing came up(well, a couple for Palms, but I've got the Mogul)

theres quite a few post here........ theres picodrive for sega and i forget the names for the others but if you search game emulators or look under the games sections and you iwll find them

HEY DASH im in the same situation. I have the HTC touch and im like not really all that high tech smart like you guys are, (thats a good gift that you have) but Im having trouble finding and playing some games that you guys have here like the Nintendo games and Sega games. Im sorry to post this here I know that there is a place for this in the Help link but man I just what to play some good old classic games lol…. Well anyways all im asking for is what exactly are EMULATORS and what are ROMS??? If I get to know what each do I can understand how It will work. For my understanding you need one and the other to play 1 game right??? And if so can I play them with the “touch” ??? I did my research but there all only for treo”s

well the problem with the touch is that emulators rarely work..... touch/vogue users have the lack of hard buttons on the device so there is no way to have controllers unless on screen and they would be tiny.... so any touch user that does use an emulator would have to chime in to hep you since i dont use them

After making this topic I found an emulator called pocketsnes, and it has an on screen controller, but I've had a few problems getting the emulator to work properly, and it won't work on landscape for me.
The controller looks functional, but I think it's just a skin, hard to say, I've only had about 10min to play with it so far.

Oh, and menikfire, Roms are the actual games that you would play, and emulators are software that can read the roms(so an emulator is kind of like a virtual game console). There's an emulator out there for pretty well every console ever released.

YEAH I happend to come across with that "Pocketsnes" and "Picodrive" emulators but i was not able to work with them because i did not know what they were. but now i understand how it all works out. thanks man for the info on what emulators and Roms are. and DASH.... your correct about the lack of hard buttons with the touch and about the onscreen controllers they are small. i was able to get one of the emulators to work but all i get is the sega controller but no game, that really sucks lol... thanks DASH and Canmx120!!!

Sorry if I'm bumping an answered post but addressing the lack of hard buttons on a touch, but it has been mentioned on another forum that a msi bluetooth controller can be used. One quick ebay search and I found
