Sprint PPC-6600 Questions

Ok, I hope this is in the right place. My very first ppc was the PPC-6600, The Calculator phone, the reason i fell in love with windows mobile phones. I currently have the HTC touch, and still have my 6600. I am looking to see if it is possible to upgrade, with new a new rom and all that jaz. Has anyone reflashed wm2003, to anything better and succesful? I tried searching for the 6600 and wm2003 on here but no luck. THought it would be an interesting project.

I haven't seen any mention of flashing wm2003 to any ppc, what do you miss from it?

wow a 6600 that phones has to be round 6 years old if not older..... no one works on those phones anymore and thats pre-kitchen.... i dont think a custom rom is out for the phone since it doesnt even have EVDO built into it.....

Oh yeah the phone is old. Loved the phone, hated the size of it though. Tell you the truth I miss the keyboard sometimes, didn't know about the dual until i got my touch and found this website.
Thanks for the heads up DASH. It was something I was curious about and figured it would be an interesting project.

the htc harrier has been discussed quite a bit. Installing a wm6 rom should be completely possible if you use the blue angel roms the only thing is they are GSM roms so you'de have to figure out the radio. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks for the heads up on that blue angel link. I did tons and tons of research on that issue, which happens to be a two year old issue. And it appears that the ending result was it couldn't be done. Or everyone let the issue die. Unable to figure out the radio, people were bricking the phones. No biggie, just a learnin tool for me.
