How To STOP Activesync From Randomly Opening FOREVER!

So I finally got sick and tired of activesync continuously opening up on my PPC even though I did NOT have it connected to my computer; I would go to START on my phone and notice activesync running, so I X'd out of it; about 30 minutes to an hour later-BAM it was opened again; I figured it was draining my battery and using memory when it did not need to be used...so I did alittle research and presto, here is the fix; I take NO credit for this BUT I ask if this helps you out, please hit the "THANKS" button.

thanx for the info, another good remedy is to get Quick Menu, theres an option in the settings that prevents activesync from opening if not connected to the pC

Yeah, I do have QuickMenu and did try that, but for some odd reason it would still open after about an hour's time; this little tweak has not let me down yet (fingers' crossed) after about an hour and a 1/2 now... :)

I have tried the fake exchange server trick, tried elias activesync kill, elias Pkill, And still that pesky activesync keeps popping up on its own. I've made sure there is no data program or connection set to automatically do anything besides manually doing it myself. I did notice that when not using touchflo or selboriyorker shell 3.0, Just using the today screen it would not open on its own. But, till this point I still can't find a solution to this problem. I'll have to look into that Quickmenu program I see mentioned. Well I'm off to search now.

this worked great....until i did a soft reset. than async started popping up again

than navigate and copy the exe file of the program from program files to the windows startup folder and have it boot on startup so you dont have to run everytime.

you dont need to put on startmenu you can just have it boot on start automatically. and you take the exe for sevenmail and drop it in there.... you can fidn the exe in the program files directory andf in the sevenmail folder.

i'm a little lost. so are you saying that sevenmail will stop activesync from running?

i'm lost too. i run seven (although the exe isn't in the startup) and it doesn't stop activesync from running.

no im not saying that, you asked me how to do it and have it start at stasrtup i just used an example and thres sevenmail in there for some reason as the example.... the person i was replying to asked how to get the app that does fix the problem to start on bootup and i told the and said seven instead of activesync by accident.

also, i have a thread going about a mail clients/opening mail and maybe you're blurring the two again. that's ok appreciate the help. but dash. it's saturday.......please turn off all devices and have a beer. only for 1/2 hour. than turn devices back on and get back to it cause we need you:)

ya, i've read over this a couple times and i still don't know what exe you're talking about or where you might get the exe from. i do understand the concept of putting it in the windows startup folder so it runs every time you soft reset since that seemed to kill the fix. am i on to something or way off?
