New WM 6.1 user

I have a couple questions regarding WM 6.1. I downloaded the latest ROM (3.56.651.0) last night and flashed my HTC Mogul. Now, is this not truly 6.1, because it doesn't have many of the features that I've seen in the WM 6.1 intro video on Microsofts website? Also, the new messenger/style SMS text box...I do not like. I don't like how if I want to reply all I get is one line at the bottom, and I can't see what I'm typing if I go over that one line. Is there a way to expand the text field down there???

I did this late last night, and I'm at work right now, so I can't research too much. Just wondered if I could get help quicker this way. Thanks.

what do you mean by the one line and yes this is the official 6.1 rom there isnt much difference form 6.0 besides the text messages and the speed and stability of the rom.

sometimes the text field at the bottom, when you reply to a message, only shows one line or only shows space for one full line of text, the rest just disappear but are still there.

If this is WM6.1, how come I don't have the new today screen like I've seen in the videos promoting WM6.1?

i havent seen the promotion videos and sprint adds the bloat ware that changes it round a bit... and if your talking bout the videos we made here you need the apps installed to look like that.

the reason it looks different is because the video that you showed is for the smartphone and not for ppc..... the interface is a lil different between the two....

Yeah, that's what I thought after I watched it again, which sucks because I'd actually like to have that homepage interface instead of the plain old homepage.

sorry to rehash an old thread but i (finally) just did the official htc rom upgrade to 6.1 also and i tried the soft reset during the three second customization interval and i wasnt able to avoid the bloat ware install..went i soft reset it(with stylus)it acts like a hard reset and makes me reconfigure tap screen..any tricks to remove the bloat on a 6.1--tilt

please ask all questions in the help desk from now on not an old intro thread........ but all you have to do is hard reset again and than once you hard reset and the customizations come where it says auto install in 3 seconds soft reset before that installs and you wont have any of the at&t bloatware.

best bet... flash to a custom rom, w/o it

For the tilt, off the top of my head, no i dont, sorry... but Check out XDA developers site... theyre great for rom development for GSM devices like your att till, and they are pretty organized so you should bee able to find the tilt section easiyl, then from threr, u will find what you need in that rom development section.... then be sure to come back hope for all your other goodies and ppc needs (many of which you couldnt get anywhere else!)

ya trust me if i didnt work for att and get there discount i would be on sprint or verizon...but good lookin out..and im Wckediden all the way u guys are definately who i come too for all the goodies
